dawhizz
If Sweed fell to the Bears, that'd be incredible. There should be some nice choices at WR and QB.
MurcieOne
some combination of Henne, Brohm, Sweed, Kelly, or Jackson will be there for the bears to pick from. I bet they go with someone completely off the radar (see: Danieal Manning).
DABEARSDABOMB
I'm guessing Henne.
Felix
Thank god it wasn't Henne, but I really would have liked Brohm there. Matt Forte, RB from Tulane was the pick

brletich
Also very relieved that this pick was not Henne, happy to see a big strong RB! I love the way this draft has gone for us so far. I think Williams was the right pick and I have wanted Forte for a while now. Excellent imho.
DABEARSDABOMB
http://www.talkchicagosports.com/blog/?p=22 There is my analyst on the selection (including the rammifications of such pick). Forte is big, strong and fast. I love this pick.
adam
Great time to move up with one of those 3rds and snag Brohm.

adam
Are they doing 3 rds today? Only 2, which will make the 3rd round uber interesting tomorrow with a night for teams to re-evaluate their boards.
DaBearSox
Henne is gone!!!!!!! Brohm now too....what QB are we going to select....or does JA do nothing
jason
Love the first round selection...don't like the second round selection. I am just not a fan of guys from smaller schools who boost stats hammering weak opponents. There are plenty of options that prove this wrong, but more often than not a guy who dominates in a big conference is going to do better. Not saying Forte is going to turn into Payton but still...small school comparison
jason
Walter Payton? Not saying Forte is going to turn into Payton but still...small school comparison That's why I said that there are many examples otherwise. However, on a different note, Walter Payton, and every player drafted years ago, is a bad example. The scouting and spotlight is much brighter and all-encompassing than back then. If Walter came out in today's draft, Mel Kiper would have been jerking off to his picture on ESPN - it would have been a no-doubter like maybe never before. adam
Walter Payton? Not saying Forte is going to turn into Payton but still...small school comparison There are a ton of RBs that fit that profile. LT played for TCU. Westbroook, Villanova - 3rd round. Willie Parker, undrafted. Brandon Jacobs, SIU, 4th round

Ed Hochuli 3:16
At this rate, we probably go WR and OG in the 3rd, since all the QBs are off the board. I think we'll just play this season out with Rex and Orton as the QBs... Love the Forte pick.
