Mongo3451
OK guys, I'm open for scrutiny. I drafted 10th in my 12 team league. Here's what I came out with, in order. I've never drafted such a WR heavy team, as I have always had success relying on my backs. Since I drafted late to get a good back and many teams are using two backs, I switched philosophy this year. Randy Moss Willis McGahee Braylon Edwards Tori Holt Rudi Johnson Donovan McNabb Da' Bears Ricky Williams Vernon Davis Matt Hasselbeck Ahmad Bradshaw Devin Hester Titans Robbie Gould Overall, I'm worried about my backs: but since I am #3 in FA priority, my strategy is too hold tight on FA pickups until that hot back comes out. I usually burn a lot of FA transactions on WR's and D/ST's. But I won't needing anything for the 1st few weeks, barring injury.

Way too early to take the Bears defense and I think McGahee is gonna have a rough year with Ogden retiring and no passing game.

I have had similar situations where I had to go heavy on WR because the elite RBs were gone before I picked. In one league I got Moss, Owens, and TJ "Housh" as my trio. You have a terrific trio of WRs that should score high. I like V Davis at TE in the new offense they will be running. McNabb is looking great in the preseason. Yes, your RBs are weak, but everything else looks really strong. I took CHI def in the 9th but then got lucky and backed it up with Jax later, defense scores high in the Yahoo leagues I created. Good luck ith your team!
CrackerDog
Just finished an ESPN league draft I'm doing with my dad and a bunch of his buddies. Got confused by the interface so blew it once or twice but overall I'm happy. One guy who let it autodraft for him got a full team but every player on his bench is either a RB or TE. Ouch. (1) LaDainian Tomlinson RB (20) Maurice Jones-Drew RB (21) Tony Romo QB (40) Plaxico Burress WR (41) Jason Witten TE (60) Jerricho Cotchery WR (61) Jonathan Stewart RB (80) Kevin Smith RB (81) Hines Ward WR (100) Chris Chambers WR (101) David Garrard QB (120) Giants D/ST (121) Shayne Graham K (140) Derrick Mason WR (141) D.J. Hackett WR (160) L.J. Smith TE
jason
I'm in a 12-team, $200 per team league. I ended up with the following: Player, Team, Position - Bye, Round drafted Anderson, Derek CLE QB - 5 4.09 (From week 1-13 had just as good of fantasy stats as Peyton Manning last year) Warner, Kurt ARI QB - 7 10.09 (Strictly backup, but tons of upside provided Lienart doesn't win back the job) Johnson, Larry KCC RB - 6 2.09 (Great value in the 2nd round) Jones, Thomas NYJ RB - 5 5.04 (I think he's going to have a huge year with Favre and two FA OL additions) Westbrook, Brian PHI RB - 7 1.04 (Solid #1 pick) Cotchery, Jerricho NYJ WR - 5 6.09 (Not a sexy WR, but seems to do well. Will improve with Favre) Ginn Jr., Ted MIA WR - 4 12.09 (Just an upside pick) Houshmandzadeh, T.J. CIN WR - 8 3.04 (Will put up huge numbers again, and with CJ's injury, it could be more) Stallworth, Donte' CLE WR - 5 9.04 (Will benefit from being a top-two WR on an explosive offense) Olsen, Greg CHI TE - 8 11.04 (Pretty good for my backup TE) Shockey, Jeremy NOS TE - 9 7.04 (Will EXPLODE this year with Brees throwing 40 times a game) Akers, David PHI PK - 7 15.04 (kicker, who cares) Dawson, Phil CLE PK - 5 14.09 (kicker, who cares) Bears, Chicago CHI Def - 8 8.09 (Oh yeah!) Eagles, Philadelphia PHI Def - 7 13.04 (Going against a weak offense on the Bears' bye week) I think I had the second best draft.
jason
DAMN! How many teams are in some of your leagues!? Bears88 & VenomSox...your teams, like Devin Hester, are ridiculous. Are there a few retarded owners in your league?

DaBearSox
I'd start Favre if I were you. This week i am going to, its pretty much gonna be matchups for the whole season. Hasselbeck and Farve had the same number of TDs last year...Farve had some more yardage but more INTs so they are pretty much even...

I think you could easily end up starting 2 of three from your bench WRs every weekend over your two main WRs. Good luck; you'll need it.
DrunkBomber
Another pay league I did online with a friend. Palmer/Favre LT/Jacobs/Julius Jones/Green/Slaton/Norwood Braylon/Welker/Harrison/Driver/Reggie Brown/Meacham Witten/LJ Smith Scobee Cincy (defence by committee and they have Baltimore and Flacco in week 1. Im not too fond of this team. I did get Harrison and Palmer back to back in the 6th and 7th though.

I think you could easily end up starting 2 of three from your bench WRs every weekend over your two main WRs. Good luck; you'll need it. I'm not worried. I know my WR's don't have any traditional stud names like Owens or Wayne but you don't get Gore and Manning and get the cream of the crop at WR too. Playing matchups at WR this season is part of my plan so the top three aren't necessarily the three I plan to play every week. I was most concerned about RB and particularly Jacobs but he kicked ass Thursday night, just didn't get in the endzone.

I'm 9-1 in my 10 team league right now, three other teams are 7-3. I've wrapped up my division with 4 weeks to play. LOL To be fair, my team has changed a lot over the year with trades and free agent pickups. But Gore, Jennings and Berrian were all steals. I traded away Calvin Johnson, I believe, at his max value. Hope he sucks the rest of the way out. Funny thing is, my squad had to carry Manning for the first 8 weeks of the season. He's come around a great deal lately! Anyway, that's why they play the games I guess.

I know Warner and TJ have panned out nicely but the rest of that team looks pretty weak here at the 10 week point. Cotchery was solid for a while but I think he's petered out, hasn't he?
