You knew the Bears' formula was working when they led 7-3 before Orton had completed a pass. By the way, when Orton finished with an 83.4 passer rating that was higher than Manning's 81.8, it marked the fourth straight start dating to last season in which Orton has finished rated higher than his quarterback counterpart. I'm not sure how our defense gets credit for Orton's QB rating, as some suggest. I guess they kept the other QB's lower but regardless, I'll take a steady mid-80's from our QB all day long.
