Hmmm. 1 player from this yrs draft has played? Which 1 player do you mean: Forte, Harrison, Davis, or LaRoque??? I think I have seen all 4 on the field but I guess I have been watching the wrong channel. What alternate universe are you watching games from???? ;)

Peace :dabears

Ya know it's funny Connerbear. The first guy that came to mind when I read that was Harrison. I guess Forte just doesn't seem like a rookie at all. Forte IS awesome, but Harrison hasn't been a slouch either. He's tied for 3rd with Hunter and Mike Brown for third on the team in sacks and started against the Eagles with Tommie out. That's a purdy nice third rounder there.

Funny how you show up w/ this sort of posting after wins. Where exactly were your posts when we were 1-2?

So now that we are a .500 team, you are screaming from the top of your lungs? Huh?

Again, not the point... I'm not talking about our 2-2 record so much as the undeniable fact that the team was built for success. Probably even better success than our current 2-2 record. Do you disagree? If not, STFU.

See, Jerry knew we were one injury impacted season with a inconsistent QB away from being in the Superbowl. He realized we didn't need to wet ourselves and go into complete rebuilding mode. Unlike some of the wannabee GM's who grace us with their presence here. How many pairs of panties do you go through in a day, anyway?

Um, when did I say we needed to go through a rebuilding mode?

I said, personnel wise, we should have one of the best defenses in the league. I questioned whether our coaches would allow for that defense to shine, but didn't question the talent. Even now, as many question the pass rush ability of our DL, I still believe the issue is coaching rather than personnel.

On offense, I supported the move to Orton. Yes, I wanted to draft a QB, but not to start this year. I said we needed to build the OL, for now and the future, but how is wanting to build the OL equal to rebuilding the entire team?

Have we played better than I expected? Yes. While some will disagree, especially bears88, I attribute that more than any one area to Orton. Our receiver position is as bad as I can recall, and yet he is doing a very solid job IMHO. W/o mistakes. Obviously not. But i think he has been running the offense well (for the most part) keeping the D fresh and moving the offense to score points.

Many will say our OL, but personally, I have not been impressed w/ the OL. I think Orton's pocket presence is making them look a bit better than they are/have been. And Forte is slipping through tiny cracks, and thus, also making them look better. I didn't say Forte over Orton, because I think more was expected of Forte.

You never did. I recall you somewhat agreed with me that this team was in "quasi-rebuilding" mode. You look at the turnover at RB (new), QB (new-ish, but knows system), WR (mostly new, or newly starting), and the O line(some new, but knew system)...and it would seem pretty obvious. That isn't a complete re-boot by any means...but it sure is a significant change.
