I LOVE this team, and I can foresee a deep playoff run in our near future, if not a Super Bowl berth.

- The offense is clicking on all cylinders. Kyle has gotten us to this point with better-than-game-managing play, and because of that the run will start opening up for us.

-The defense is loaded with veterans who will not tolerate playing second-fiddle to the offense, especially after so many years of high-level play and being the pride of Chicago. Read the cover story on www.chicagobears.com today. Tommie Harris and that D-line KNOW they haven't been getting it done. They will not allow it to continue. I believe it has nothing to do with Babich, or Lovie, or the scheme. This is a moody bunch of overpayed vets who know they merely need to get off their collective asses and execute.

- Except for a few bumps and bruises, we're healthy. We're even getting our starting corners back this weekend. And Brandon Lloyd, who is making a name for himself again. Good health is going to be key in some of these cold weather games we have coming up.

- We're about 3 plays over the course of this season from everyone talking about us in the same sentence as the Titans and Giants. I think the silver lining to that cloud is that we're flying under the radar. As tiresome as it gets sometimes, our team feeds off of "disrespect". Well now they have a chance to go earn it.

- Look at late season runs in recent years by the Giants and the Steelers. We're in a very similar spot right now. I think the above factors can really add up to us making a late season run.

- Experience is on our side. If we get to the Super Bowl, nearly everyone on our team will have been there before and know what it's like. There's no way we lose.

-We're going to beat Tennessee and Green Bay in the next two weeks. You heard it hear first. Tennessee hasn't played a team as good as ours yet. Our run defense and high-scoring offense match up really well against them. They will not out-physical us. As for Green Bay, I think they're kinda soft. Both games will be hard fought, but I think we can play with anyone in the league right now.

Can't wait to hear whether you guys think I'm crazy or agree with me!

My only concern really is the D...

I love everything else about where this team is headed.

I don't agree with your assessment that it's the players and not the coaches. I think it's mostly the coaches. Check nfo's topic on lack os stunting on the D line. That's not all on the players... This was a top defensive team under Rivera. Then Babich comes in, and for the last year and a half, we are near the bottom. I see one common denominator...

For now, I'll temper my glass of kool-aid with a little bitter gin...

Until a pass rush shows up this D isn't going to slow anyone down. It's about more than just 3 plays it's all the other defensive plays that led up to us being in that position.

I have my pitcher of Blue and Orange Kool Aide, but you're right AZ54. If we can't get pressure on the QBs we've faced, we are going to have a rough time of it the rest of the way.

I agree with you on mostly everything. I stated early this year that the Bears would be 11-5 this year. IMHO we should be 7-0 right now and not 4-3, but with 3 losses by a total of 8 points and two of those either in the last seconds or overtime dang! We have things lined up for us right now we just need to get after teams earily and put them away. When they are behind(other teas) then you can go for the neck breaker. I agree with some of the post that we need to get a heavy rush on the QB as this will led to turnovers and points. But the rush is IMHO not really the problem. Its our secondary. If we play more press coverage and bump and run this will make the QB hold the ball longer waiting for someone to get open and allowing our Dline to get to the QB more often. But teams are throwing the underneath stuff because our LB'S are up in the line faking the blitz, so when the drop back they are not in their nomal drop or positon.
