Stinger226
We are all huge Bears fans and just like football, thats why were on this blog. I am a glass half full person, so I always think the powers that be are always doing the right thing. I thought they must be pretty smart to get us to a Super Bowl in 06 with a top 15 RB, a top 20 WR, and not much at QB, but the last two years I have lost my faith in Loveme, and JerryGM. We have had lousy drafts as a whole and make lots of mistakes with the personal. I think they have made bad desicions in the couching area also. So the half empty glass has creeped in. We are 16 and 16 the last two years. I want everything they do to turn out ok, because it will make my team a winner but that just isnt working out. They have this year to bring my faith back or I will be calling for there heads. They havent impressed me so far in the Free agency period, so my expectations are low. Maybe the moves they will make and have made will turn out good and along with a great draft, my faith will come back. As for Loveme, he has accepted the responablity for the defense, so now he wont have anyone to blame. I suppose in 05 and 06 I didnt have high expectations and they suprized me. Hopefully they can do that again.

What I don't understand is if the upper eschelon is sectrectly calling shots that handcuff Lovie and Jerry. We just have no way of knowing. I will always keep the faith though. madlithuanian
I was on Smith's side early on...then I started to see the emperor had no clothes during our run to the SB. The following year(s) pretty much cemented that. I, as well, pretty much gave JA the benefit of the doubt for a lot longer. But, now it just seems that he's not any better than many GM's out there. And while he might be better than what we'd had in the past, it's still not good enough. I think the ownership is poor at best. They really do not do very well at cementing themselves as a charter franchise in this league. Upstarts and former bums like NE are running their businesses far better than the McCaskey's are. I'm not sure if I have the "faith"...but I wll still root and cheer like a lunatic every Sunday. Given our handcuffs, like watching during the Wanny years, I will pick and choose elements to really get behind and feel good about regardless of the game's outcome. I just don't think that this club is poised to be championship calibur with our players, coaches, management and ownership right now. But I feel like there are some great players in place that could get us there in a few years after a regime change. I am with you brother. I am not a Lovie fan. I too blled Orange and Blue and will be looking for my team to win the Super Bowl. And I too am frustrated that other franchises are out thinking us as far as coaching and player personnel. Where's the push to win the big one with this team?
madlithuanian
Chile, That question sums up a lot of our frustration in a nutshell! And I don't see an answer on the horizon... Where's the push to win the big one with this team?
DaBearSox
I am keeping the faith that sometime in my lifetime this team will have ownership that actually wants to win the big dance rather than just making money for themselves... I really think it's both. They want to win but they also want to maximize their profits. It's how they go about it that matters. Peace
