Little story to tell

Wanted to tell of something that happened last night. I was up at the club (Lifetime Fitness) and there was this guy in the locker room pissed off because his phone was just stolen. He was really going to town on the guy who works there. I thought I recognized him, and asked at the front desk if he was who I thought he was. Sure enough. It was Michael Irvin. The playmaker himself.

I have to say, after reading story after story, he is about as big of a jerk as I always read. The locker room has, you guessed it, lockers. You insert your membership card and pull out the key. So lockers are free and secure, but Mr. Irvin didn't feel the need to use one, and I guess left all his stuff laying out when taking a shower. Bye bye phone. Now, you can say what sort of a world do we live in, but come on. Tons of teenagers there, and you just leave your phone out in the open? Further, he really went off on the freaking towel guy. I mean, this guy keeps towels folded and stocked. He isn't security, and didn't deserve the verbal abuse he took. It was really pathetic.

I know it isn't Bear related, but I personally don't come across many NFL players, and just wanted to relate the story.

Comes as no surprise, but good story. It's a good thing I wasn't there, otherwise Irvin would probably have wanted to fight me. Why you may ask? Well, I would have been compelled to interject: "I bet if it was a bag of cocaine you would have locked it up!"

This comes as no surprise to me. That guy has always seemed like a tool off the field.

LOL.

I am a smart ass myself, but there was little chance of my popping off last night. He may be retired, but he is still ripped, and would crush me. Easily.

His dealer's phone number was in there... That's why he was pissed! ;)

On a serious note, just think for a minute about all the phone numbers he does likely have in there. Just think about all the former and current football players who's personal numbers are likely in his phone.

Good story . . . although being in Texas, I'd thought you were getting ready to say it was Cedric Benson. But then I remember it was March. When the hell has Cedric Benson ever seen the inside of a gym in March???
