Stinger226
Thats MF great!!!!! You screwed up man, we also have Denvers 5th pick this year.
Pixote
Read the signature!! You need to correct 2 things. We traded pick 3a not 3b, and we added a 5th from Denver.

jason
OK, now I'm REALLY in love with your draft and want to marry it! haha...so do you think McRib in the 7th was better than Ian Johnson?
nfoligno
You know I like it, but lets be honest for a moment. W/ Pace added (our 3rd vet OL) there is zero chance we draft Duke. Then again, I didn't think Angelo could pull off the Cutler trade. Honestly though, while you know how much I want OL, at the same time, w/ Cutler added, there is a greater thought about the "now". In the 2nd, I am thinkg Rashied Johnson, who I think is the sort of FS that not only would play well sooner rather than later, but is an Angelo style DB and fills a huge hole. Especially w/ all done on offense, I think FS in the 2nd is now VERY likely. Read the signature!! A stud OL makes bad players average, average players good, good players great, and great players Hall of Famers. Draft: 1: MF CUTLER 2: Duke Robinson, OG, OU - Now is the time to support the FRANCHISE QB 3a: MF CUTLER 3b: Ramses Barden, WR, Cal Poly - Time to make this team an offensive powerhouse 4: David Bruton, S, ND - Destroyed the combine competition, very good player 5a: Willie VanDeSteeg, DE, Minnesota - High motor, gets to the QB. Good situational DE rookie year. 5b: Jason Williams, OLB, Western Illinois - Fast, fits the system 6: Javorskie Lane, FB, Texas A&M - This guy is a monster and plows holes. He's got soft hands. Losing draft stock because of weight. 7: McRib Sandwich

madlithuanian
McRib!!! Food of the gods! I even grab the chipotle 1/3 lb'er every now and then becasue it's a poor facsilime of it. Besides the difference in meat, it's similar that there are pickles, onions, and the BBq sauce...the only difference is the Chipotle is the same sauce with a little more spice. It's not the same, but it works in a pinch! haha...so do you think McRib in the 7th was better than Ian Johnson?
dawhizz
I listened to one of Mel Kiper's podcasts recently and he said Robinson was falling from the people he talked to. Now, some of that may be smoke or whatever, but he does talk to a lot of people and said he's closer to a late third round pick. Just FYI. I'm still more worried about the FS spot than you. If we don't improve our pass defense, Cutler's not going to matter that much. I'm confident we've added two starters to the O-line (Pace and Omiyale) to go with what is essentially an addition in Williams. I don't feel so confident about Bullocks. Therefore, my draft would look like this (not terribly different from my last mock): 2) Rashad Johnson, S, Alabama - Unless Robiskie's here (and I don't think he will be), not other WR is worth the pick. And if the Cutler in Denver shows anything, it's that he doesn't make a difference without a good defense. 3) Austin Collie, WR, BYU - I would love Barden, but I don't think he lasts to the end of the third. Collie's age will probably push him down, however, but he's ready to step in and contribute right away, which is what this team needs. 4) Henry Melton, DE, Texas - A guy who the Bears apparently have an eye on and can provide situational pass-rush help for the defense. 5a) Jarret Dillard, WR, Rice - Great 3rd down/red zone option with monster production in college and a vertical (42 1/2 inches) that makes his height (5'10") deceiving. 5b) Roger Allen, OT/OG, Missouri Western - High upside guard/tackle to develop. 6) Joe Burnett, CB, Central Florida - Good zone corner who broke up 35 passes and had 16 interceptions in his college career. 7a) Frantz Joseph, LB, Florida Atlantic - Smart tackling machine to develop on special teams. 7b) Marcus Mailei, FB, Weber State - Power blocker with good hands oout of the backfield. ASHKUM BEAR
Nice draft Jason, funny thing is I was working on a Mock also w/ Duke as our #2 Heres my take: 2-49 Duke Robinson OG - Bring in to groom or start, need to add youth 3-99 Sherrod Martin FS - CB at Troy, project to be pretty good FS, not afraid to stick the RB 4-119 Zack Follet SLB - Bears showed interest in him, he is also good pass rusher from LB 5-149 Mike Wallace WR - 6' 200 4.33 speed. Lovie preaches speed 5-154 Johnny Knox WR - 5-11" 185 4.33 speed. Once again more speed 6-191 Orion Martin DE - 6-2" 262 4.78, leader w/ non stop motor, excellent special team also 7-246 Graham Harrell QB - 6-2" 223. just b/c we have Cutler, doesn't mean we forget about the QB 7-251 Jamaal Westerman DE - 6-3 260 4.75, Bears have also expressed interest in him
