ASHKUM BEAR
The Saints top needs are OLB and DB. They can also look to add a RB, C, and ROT. Even though they added FS Darren Sharper, the Saints still draft: Malcom Jenkins FS Ohio St. They highly considered Oher for RT and Cushing for OLB, but felt Jenkins would make the biggest impact. The Houston Texans (The Prophet) are now on the clock

Is Detroit going to skip there pick? I thought they were going to do that with there #1 pick so they don't have to pay the top $$$. DABEARSDABOMB
Sorry guys, had birthday parties so I was away most of yesterday. With the 20th pick in the draft, the Detroit Lions go best available and take Brian Cushing, LB, USC.

With the 20th pick in the draft, the Detroit Lions go best available and take Brian Cushing, LB, USC. No problems, just giving some ribbing along with Madlith. The Eagles are starting to become depleted in the secondary along with many other positions, but the secondary was the hardest hit. So with there pick 21st pick they select the UofI CB - Vonte Davis. Jason and the Minny Queens are now on the clock!

jason
I'd say the Vikings' D is just about set. Great DL, good LBs, pretty good DBs. Their offense is set everywhere except QB, WR, and RT. They recently got Rosenfels for some reason. Their WRs are former Bears, and that says a lot. Top needs: RT, WR. Getting William Beatty would probably be a better pick for the team needs, but I think it'd be a bit high for him. So they'll get a guy to learn the possession tricks from Wade - because that's the only way he's stayed in the league this long - and attempt to find a #2 to link with Berrian. With the 22nd pick of the 2009 NFL Draft, the Minnesota Vikings select Kenny Britt, WR, Rutgers. The New England Patriots and MadLithuanian are on the clock. Expect Laurinaitis. madlithuanian
Your expectation is correct! The Bears trade picks 2, 4, and 3 next year and leap up to take....nah! Upon discussing the pick w/ some friends that are NE fans, they made it clear they wanted to grrom the next LB as Bruschi is on the downward swing. The Pats select the next great Lithuanian linebacker, J. Laurinaitis, OSU. I'd say the Vikings' D is just about set. Great DL, good LBs, pretty good DBs. balta1701-A
BTW, I will post the round 2 list at some point this weekend. Since I still have a pick coming I can make sure we don't reach that round before I post it.
ASHKUM BEAR
The Atlanta Falcons have urgent needs at DT, CB, OLB, and TE and want to continue to build the team around the franchise Matt Ryan. So with the 24th pick of the NFL draft, the Atlanta Falcons select..........Brandon Pettigrew TE from Oklahoma St. The Prophet is up next with the 25th pick belonging to the Miami Dolphins. Chitownhustla
For round 1, here is the draft order we will start with. On the advice of others, we will not allow trades. If there is another major trade in the league while we're doing this, we'll decide what to do at the time. To place your pick, either post it in this thread and the first post will be updated accordingly, or send it in PM form to me or one of the other mods/admins. The first post will be updated as we go along. Do not use this thread for trade discussion - it'll simply make it too confusing for me to keep up, I want a new post in here to mean someone made a new pick. Keep all discussion in the other thread I'll be setting up. As a reminder...you get roughly 24 hours to stay on the clock. I'll be generous, especially on weekends and for the first couple picks, but if you get on the clock and no one can find you, someone may pick for you. So at least try to stay current if you've got a team coming up. 1. Detroit Lions - Dabearsdabomb - Mark Sanchez, QB, USC 2. St. Louis Rams - Brianbear - Michael Crabtree, WR, Texas Tech 3. adam
Seems like this is something that needs to be halted to one round. Yeah, the 1st round is the goal, anything else is just a bonus. Normally after 24 hours, someone would post for the person who is late, that way there is at least a pick per day. So if MadLithuanian doesn't post by noon today, we will have someone make his pick. madlithuanian
Hold your horses fellas! I was away at my folks' place for Easter w/ no net access. If these things fall on a holiday, some semblance of a longer tims is expected...or else we need to simply give an exact time a pick is due by. Regardless, after much discussion w/ a few Ravens fans, they have decided to shore up the receiving corps, and go with a local product... The Ravens select D. balta1701-A
The Colts's biggest need is on the interior defensive line, but unfortunately Peria Jerry is already gone. The Colts are going to gamble on a talented defensive player who's been known to not yet live up to his ability. The Colts select Evander "Ziggy" Hood, DT/DE, Missouri.
