Pixote
I know it has been quoted that Holt has said he does not have interest in the Bears and therefore it seems highly unlikely we would land him but who ever thought we would sign Cutler? Hester hopes Bears land WR HoltPosted: April 4th, 2009 | NFL.com Staff | Tags: Chicago Bears, Devin Hester, Torry Holt After QB Jay Cutler was traded to Chicago, the prevailing question among Bears fans was, “Who is he going to throw to?” According to the Chicago Tribune, Bears WR Devin Hester, who will be catching some of Cutler’s passes next season, would like his team to sign veteran WR Torry Holt, whose agent hinted that Chicago isn’t in the running to sign the 32-year-old player. Here’s what Hester told the Tribune: “In my opinion, he still has two good years left in him. “From going to the Pro Bowl, I picked his brain. We talked about route running. He seems to have a lot of knowledge. I could pick his brain some more for a few years, and that would really help us out.”
'TD'
I mean, considering Holts record, and how good he is, I think he is still good for over 1000 easy with cutler, but hester just dont seem to bright in his comments still. One bad year in the worst offense in football dont mean ya are on the decline

Excellent point Pix. Everyone was so upset the way FA started out and now most of us can't wait for August. I can't remember the last time I was this excited for a Bears season to start. Was to young for the early to mid 80's teams.
DABEARSDABOMB
I really like what Hester said. Sounds like he's trying to study and learn from anyone he can and Holt is a good guy to learn from and I hope the Bears bring in an established veteran that could really take Hester under his wing. AZ54
It is refreshing to hear a young player with a big name and big contract openly admit he's still working to improve and willing to learn from veterans.
