ASHKUM BEAR
What do you guys think of the whole Jay Cutler nightlife fiasco that the media is currently playing out. I think the Chicago media (especially the papers) have no clue anymore. This is probably one of the biggest weeks were you can generate interest in your product by building up a buzz about the draft and prospects, but they failed to do so and instead make it out that it is "evil" to go out on your time and have a good time. No wonder they are losing out and eventually going to have to fold. It cracked me up listening to the score tonight and some "nerd" called in and compared Cutler to a CEO of a company and that it was not proper for them to hit the club and have some drinks. I think it's great Cutler and Olson are hitting it off and can have some drinks together, thats how some of the greatest bonds can be formed. Hopefully they form a connection on the field also. I'm grateful of the respect the people of Bourbonnais have, if you thought the last picture of Cutler and Olson were bad, some of the things you see during TC could be taken just as bad also. These guys are just people, like you and me, let them live there lives and as long as they don't break the law WTFC.
Ed Hochuli 3:16
This is blown way out of a proportion. He's a 25 year old with more money then I'll ever dream of having. Let him do what he wants. It's obviously never affected his performance.
AZ54
I don't see how his nightlife is a fiasco. I wish I had his nightlife and I have no problem with 20 somethings enjoying life. Just don't do stupid things like shooting yourself in the leg.
nfoligno
I think it is a joke, but also think it comes w/ the territory. Chicago is a major media market, and players in such a market are going to get far more scrutiny. That is why many players enjoy smaller market teams. Again, I think it is a joke, but it doesn't shock me. The media made a big deal about the Orton partying thing too, but was it? No. What do you guys think of the whole Jay Cutler nightlife fiasco that the media is currently playing out. I think the Chicago media (especially the papers) have no clue anymore. Chitownhustla
there would be something wrong if he wasnt going out with his teammates and partying it up, especially now. it's the offseason now is the time to do it. he just got in to town, he is working out with the team which is not required at this point. if he came to town to do the press release for the trade and then went back to Tenn to chill out then i would think something is wrong. as long as it doesnt turn out to be a kerry collins deal then leave it alone

When I saw the pic of him and Olsen drunk I laughed and the only question I personally had was that those 2 weren't driving home. Chitown you said it perfectly that he is bonding with his teammates and working out with the club because he wants to. He could just as easily stay away and not come into town until the mandatory stuff. Also look at the fact that he will be here for the Bears Expo, which he doesn't have to attend. As long as his drinking doesn't interfere with the on field performance I couldn't care less. His biggest problem on the field recently has been his diabetes but he seemed to do pretty damn well last year.
nfoligno
At least he isn't partying it up w/ Paris Hilton. I might worry then I have no problems with this at all. madlithuanian
I said the exact same on an earlier thread! Although, let's bump it up to a town car! He deserves better treatment! As long as he calls a cab.
AZ54
If I had the money these guys everytime I go out there'd be a limo taking me and my friends all over town.
Connorbear
Cutler is an adult. I have no issues with him going out and partying as long as he is responsible (does not drive when drunk). This is a non issue. Peace
Pixote
Seems to me he knows how to have fun but yet takes his new position with the Bears quite seriosly: But make no mistake, the Bears' biggest draft prize already has arrived. Offensive coordinator Ron Turner's appearance at the ceremony was a quick break from working with Cutler, with whom Turner has been meeting for four hours a day. ''I know people have been talking about some other stuff, but I couldn't be happier,'' Turner said. ''He is here every day and he's here early. It's exciting.'' Chitownhustla
Seems to me he knows how to have fun but yet takes his new position with the Bears quite seriosly: to go along with what you wrote, Waddle did a blog about Cutler on espn1000 Jay Cutler isn't the petulant child the Broncos want you to think he is. My source says while he might like to go out and have fun every now and again -- like all single 25-year-olds -- he was the first one in the building every morning, studying film of the upcoming opponent. His teammates loved him and Brandon Marshall was made by Cutler, not the other way around. New Broncos coach Josh McDaniels is now suffering from debilitating migraines. I wonder why. http://espn.go.com/chicago/columns/blog?name=waddle
