defiantgiant
What an idiot. Well, they'd have a pretty explosive offense if they brought Burress on board. Antonio Bryant and Burress at wideout, Kellen Winslow and Jerramy Stevens at TE, and a RB platoon of Derrick Ward, Earnest Graham, and (if he can get healthy) Cadillac Williams. Tampa's got a very good o-line, too. Even with Byron Leftwich under center, that would be a very solid offense.

SoxFan1
Not really buying this yet. Some reports say the Bucs are not interested in Burress but other say he has reached out to them and wouldn't mind playing for them. Just because he wants to play somewhere doesn't mean that the team wants him too. Apparently he reached out to RB Derrick Ward, who played with Burress in NY. The Bucs have reportedly been interested in signing former New York Giants free agent wide receiver Plaxico Burress, but Morris downplayed the team's interest in signing Burress, who currently has some legal issues that could prevent him from playing football in 2009. “He’s a great player, any time you have a chance to add a great player to your team you have to have some sort of interest," said Morris. "But again, we’re talking about a ghost. Right now, we don’t know what’s going on with his legal problems. We don’t know what is going on with his suspension by the league. Until that stuff resolves, it’s not even worth talking about in my opinion. “To be honest there was never really a discussion about bringing him in. He has close friends on our team and contacted those guys and said he’s interested himself. There is nothing wrong with that.” http://www.pewterreport.com/articles/view/5517 http://www.tampabay.com/sports/football/bu...icle1010807.ece

lemonej
First and foremost Buress wants to avoid jail time. Raheem Morris didn't dismiss the teams interest but what he said was basically company line and he quickly shifted the subject to something else. Mike Vick wants to play in the NFL again but that may not happen either. This is all the crap that we have to read and listen to until TC starts and we can focus on the team we follow and not who we can add.
