bradjock
http://www.suntimes.com/sports/football/be...nson-04.article Some of the highlights from the article of the ass-turd's idiocy: "I'm sure they know they made a mistake [releasing me]," Benson said, "after the way I finished last season. But I'm not worried about them. It's in the past and I've moved on. I had a career-high in touches and yards in a little more than half a season, more than I ever had in Chicago. That tells you the story right there." There remains no love lost between Benson and ex-Bear Thomas Jones. The pair combined for 1,857 rushing yards during 2006 en route to the Super Bowl, the same season that Jones once slugged Benson in practice. It was Jones who got into an on-field tussle Monday in Jets' camp. "Typical," Benson said. "That's the kind of guy he is. I don't pay attention to what is going on in his world." "I think the only person that wanted me there was Lovie [smith],'' Benson said. "The Bengals sure hit the jackpot.''

xvflutop
We miss him? anyone else do the math? He rushed for 747 yards in "a little more" than half a season (12 games or 3/4 of a season). That would equate to 996 yards for a full season of work. oh and averaged 3.5 yards a carry as well. Which I don't know about anyone else, sure makes me sad that we gave the ball to a rookie who ended with 1800+ total yards last year. But then again he would've had 1800 yards rushing playing for the bears easily.

He never was able to be the work horse like Forte was and only did well while he was teamed with Jones. I'll bet he still can't pick up the blitz which is another reason he had limited touches. He also wasn't that that good catching the ball out of the backfield. Benson was a tool when he was here and he is still a tool because its obvious he has a jaded opinion of himself. If anything we might feel we made a mistake by not being able to take Ronnie Brown or maybe taking a chance of trading out of the 4th spot like we done in the past.
