Another "Starter" on Defense down...

I was there today. I saw it happen but it didn't look bad. I saw them bump into each other as they both went up for the pass. I saw him go down and my first thought was the knee and then I figured he had a hip pointer because the trainers were working that area. I'm surprised how many times players get injured in training camp. I've been to Bears camp a few times over the years and there practices never seem all that tough. Maybe it was a freak thing but we need this guy to be healthy.

It's muscle fatigue. These guys have been working hard for several days in a row, hitting and sprinting. It was obvious to me yesterday when I watched video of the Dline drills. Everyone was running the drill slower and stiffer than on the first couple days and so I was expecting to start hearing about some soft tissue injuries and sure enough we have one. Hopefully he's just strained it and can get back for at least the last couple preseason games.
