lemonej
It finally has come out that Tommie Harris has had his knee scoped in March and he is suffering from some problems with that surgically repaired hamstring. So this is not good news.
Ed Hochuli 3:16
Despite being arguably the best DT in the NFL when healthy, I'm getting sick of this guy. He's always hurt yet he's always goofing around. If he spent more time working his tail off to be back into great shape instead of f***ing around, he might get back to that dominating player or close to it. azbearsfan
This kind of backs up my belief that Gilbert was drafted as a potential replacement for Tommie. I think if this stuff keeps up he is not long for a Bears uniform. We have not received a good return on the investment.

What is he supposed to do if he is injured? He is entering Mike Brown territory as far as being an important piece that is limited in practice for various injuries but if he really is injured and Lovie is backing that up along with the GM how is that F-ing around?Evidently he is more seriously injured than they are letting on. So all those reports that said he failed the physical of 10 NFL teams before the draft and he had the knees of a 35 year old man may have merit. WTBS he stilll has been voted to multiple pro bowls and when he is healthy he is one of the quickest Bears DTs I have ever seen in a class of Alan Page and Wally Chambers. So this is not good news. As I stated in the thread "Not Convinced", I had my doubts that the guy was really in good shape. Now it's gonna be frustrating to hear the "day-to-day" stuff on him. Who are they hiding this all from? And why give the guy a BIG contract knowing that he's not fully recovered?

Well, there's nothing he can do. But I'm sick of watching this guy during TC highlights f***ing around with guys. Why don't you try and go rehab yourself? I'm sick of the team I love having to pay so much money for such an injured player. When he's healthy he's quick? Yeah great, which means he hasn't been quick in 2 going on 3 years now. GrizzlyBear
Well watch the interview on CBTV, He appeared really frustrated and when asked about the trust in trainers he was not convincing. Iam of the mind set if it was up to him he would be out there, but the overly cautious bears staff have him just in the weight room. Body language in the interview was to say the least frustrated. Yeah great, which means he hasn't been quick in 2 going on 3 years now. B Bear I was at TC on Aug 3rd and he was on the field going through all the drills. His practice participation on that day was in full pads which is what the Bears have been practicing in for 9 or 10 days straight days. You see where I'm going with this? Lovie is trying to limit his participation in contact drills. He even admitted as much in an interview, saying quote"Its more me than than it is Tommie." JA today on the SCORE said we want him fresh in the second half of games and we want him to play all season. So now there are quotes from the coach and GM that pretty much say they are treating Harris special so why are you so bent out of shape about him having fun with guys that are his teammates and friends? If the coaches are holding him out why is he the object of your ire?
