Pixote
I think we'd have won in either case but this can't be bad for the Bears. I was telling my son-in-law that I was hoping the Lions would win this week because logic would say that sooner or later the losing streak had to stop and I did not want it to be in Chicago. bowlingtwig
I think we'd have won in either case but this can't be bad for the Bears. The Lions winning just tells you how bad the Redskins D is. Jason Campbell had a good game yesterday. But overall the team sucks. What amazes me though is after the last game the Redskins lost, I forget which analyst it was but he blamed it on George W. Bush. Please tell me how? BigDaddy
I think we'd have won in either case but this can't be bad for the Bears. Really? Well, the team the Lions are going to trot out against us Sunday will probably be better at ALL skilled positions than the team we played in Seattle. I said before the Seattle game and I'll say it right now before the Lions game. THIS team is due an upset ass kicking unless they get their shit together. nfoligno
One. I think the Bush comment was most likely a joke. You know. Washington team and everyone in Washington (run now by democrats) blames everything on Bush. Two. At least here in Dallas, I heard quite a few call this one. Washington simply is a poorly run team, from top to bottom, and is ripe for a big loss like this. Three. They have a ways to go, but Detroit is not as bad as some think. They were hanging w/ Minny, a FAR superior team, well into that game. They have a solid, young looking QB in Stafford. They have one of the games best WRs in Johnon. Kevin Smith had nearly 1,000 yards (over 4 ypc avg) on a dreadful team last year, as a rookie. As I said, they are going to need a couple more years, but they (IMHO) have some pieces in place today to get a couple wins. The Lions winning just tells you how bad the Redskins D is. BearFan2000
I'm glad they got the win. It's really mind blowing to think that their last win came in the 07 season. That my friends is sad. They acted like the won the super bowl yesterday the coach paraded the team back out to celebrate with their fans. Having them get this monkey off their back is huge and it will take a little of the motivation now it has been mentioned that the last time they won two straight was when they beat the bucs and then us I think that was the 07 season as well. The lions are still a bad team. But I do give them credit for fighting and week one and two they put up a good fight for a while but eventually fell last week they beat a bad Redskins team I want to see us not only beat the Lions but beat them convincingly. We can only do so if we come out and establish the tempo early we need to dictate. You let a team like Detroit hang around you will be in a dogfight. I don't think Detroit is as bad as people say they are and I thought they had a great off season especially there draft. Stafford is a rookie starting QB and usually thats not good. He isn't doing well but most expected to see that. I wonder who is worse Cleveland or Washington??? Its funny how now that Mangini is gone the Jets are 3-0 with a rookie QB. lol. madlithuanian
Agreed. You just knew they were going to win at least one, and I didn't want it to be against us! madlithuanian
Cleveland. But miles... Campell at least threw the ball to Moss. Quinn and Anderson threw only to Baltimore... But, St Louis might be the second worse with the Raiders close behind. Jamarcus Russell looks like a bigger bust than Leaf... I completely agree. There D is for real, however they have suffered a lot of injuries so far but there not that bad. The offfensive problems is completely 100% to blame on Russell though. My best friend is a Raiders fan and he cames over here to watch the game since I have the NFL package and he was throwing the ball every where except where the receivers were. madlithuanian
I hope your freind pays you to watch those Raiders games! I think I'd almost rather watch "Steel magnolias" w/ the wife! In fact, I thnk Dolly Parton could throw better than Russell despite the airbags in front of her! All kidding aside, the Riaders have a decent D, but their O is so atrocious, that it'll just be time before the D starts folding... Here in LA, people still follow the Raiders, so it's inevitable to hear a lot about them at the water cooler. My bottom 5 1. Browns - the worst hands down 2. St. Louis Lambs- These guys are horrible despite S. Jackson. 3. Chokeland Faders - decent D, putrid O. 4. Lionesses - Improving, but how can they not? 5. KC - just not enough talent there The Raiders are better than some think. There D is for real, however they have suffered a lot of injuries so far but there not that bad. If my wife didn't work the weekends I think she would get sick of seeing me on the couch all weekend watching nothing but football. There is a reason that I bought the football package. madlithuanian
Fair enough! But is watching a Raiders game really football? Sorry, Raiders fandom here in LA is ridiculous and I try to take a pot-shot on it whenever possible! Hey, I'm the same, I watch from 10AM until the Sunday night game is over...the only way I'd be watching a Raider game would be that it's the Sunday night game and I have no other option! With the the NFL ticket, I have too many options than to suffer an Oakland game! No one has to pay me to watch a football game. It doesn't matter what type of game and doesn't matter who is playing. BearFan2000
For this year Favre is in the NFC North who knows if it's just a one year thing or if he'll pull the retirement crap again this coming offseason. Or will he be back with the Vikings next year. But you are right if Stafford shakes out then the division could be interesting with four good competitive teams. The NFC North could become one of the tougher divisions in the next few years. When was the last time that all the teams in our Division were good? lemonej
Tampa Bay is pretty bad also. Detroit is one of those teams to be leary of because no matter what the record is they always play the Bears tough.
madlithuanian
That they are! but at least they have some semblance of a threatening running game... I've been witness to many a game in soldier that weren't remotely close. A few that were... This is a game we should win and win big. But, no would I be shocked if it were closer than we'd all like! nfoligno
Regarding TB, right now, they are looking easily like one of the worst teams in the league, and could be in contention for the top pick in the draft. They were able to run the ball in week one, but since, their leading rushers notched 32 and 15 yards, and that 15 yarder was their QB. Leftwhich has been replaced, and they are now in full rebuild mode w/ Josh Johnson under center. I am not sure I have seen futility like their last game, w/ 58 yards passing and 28 total yards rushing, again, 15 of that by the QB. 86 total yards of offense. Wow! They have also given up 34, 33 and 24 points. Luckily for them, they get Wash and Carolina (2), but otherwise, I am not sure I see a win. TB should easily be a top 5 pick, and could be the #1. Det is not as bad as some think, IMHO. They lost to two very good teams, and then beat Wash. They have a good (though rookie) QB, very solid RB and one of the top WRs in the NFL. Their OL and defense suck, but w/ the QB-RB-WR combo they have, they are dangerous enough to put points on the board IMHO. madlithuanian
They do look bad! Something just tells me, they'll rally at least one game and make it happen. I just don't see a Brown's team doing that for Mangenius. Detroit has improved. But, this is still a team we should beat solidly and the Vegas point spread of 10 speaks to that.
