butkusrules
http://www.suntimes.com/sports/1848922,bea...-ten-27.article He's right. He was right with last weeks column too. It starting to seem to me that Angelo isn't very good as a GM. He has totally neglected the OL/DL, he cant draft a safety for shit and refuses to sign one in free agency. When Angelo does get players, Lovie cant or wont develop them. There are always players that don't work out for every team, but we have way too many. Additionally Lovie cant develop/manage his own coaches. Ron tuner has a been a loser since he got here and Lovie seems fine with him. He gave that moron LB coach two years at Def Coordinator before stepping in all the while our defense was steadily declining. Im down for new blood from the top down. jason
Love the ending to #1 regarding Lovie: And what do we know, anyway? We're the ones who saw flaws in Rex Grossman midway through the 2006 season, thought Thomas Jones should have been the choice over Cedric Benson and didn't think Brian Urlacher was worthy of a contract extension last year. Yeah, seriously, what do we know? (the list could be longer)
jason
Wow. Number nine infuriates me. Ex-Bear Player of the Week: Cedric Benson became the lastest Bear to play better against them than he ever did for them. Benson had more yards at halftime (98 on 20 carries) than he did in all but two games with the Bears. He finished with a career-high 189 on 37 carries (5.1 yards per carry) and a touchdown -- rubbing the Bears noses into it with eight carries for 36 yards in the final 12 minutes and was still carrying the football into the final minute of a 45-10 rout. Benson leads the NFL in rushing with 720 yards -- and he's running behind an offensive line with three new starters and only one starter who is in the same positition as he was last season. How do they do that? Not just because Benson got revenge, but because the Bengals managed to do what the Bears seemingly never can do: take a bunch of pieces, move some around, and put together a solid group that completely dominated the Bears.
