NAMEDSONPAYTON2
I want more Devin A. Does anyone know if he has ever seen the field before that play where he made that tip toe catch. It was so refreshing to see such a play. I cannot remember a catch like that for a bear player in a long time. It looked like a catch that other teams make, because of his size and just the way it looked. I was like "where did that come from"
DaBearSox
Yea i yelled out who the hell is #19 that guy looks like an actual receiver...is that the other Devin?
Bears4Ever_34
I'm sure he will get more time as the season goes on. Once we hit that 6 or 7th loss mark we'll be seeing alot of are young guys. I'm disappointed we haven't been able to get Johnny Knox involved more like earlier in the season. He dominated the Steelers when we played them in week 2 and had a nice stretch of games where he consistently produced.
madlithuanian
I wouldn't get carried away w/ Knox... He took the Steelers by surprise that game. And it helped not having Polamalu out there.... He's not really done much sense. I would like to see more, but I really wish we had a #1 receiver. In fact, most of our WR's are very raw. They don't know how to read coverage and effectively get off bumps, use picks properly, etc. It is one of the many reasons it is so frustrating to watch this team. BigDaddy
Unfortunately, it took this pile of shitbags that we call coaches, 9 freakin games to get him some PT. What, is he too stupid to understand Turners playbook too? This is just another example of this organization stifling it's talent. He should have been in weeks ago. We need physical guy like him and have needed one since the beginning of this damned season. This football team is NOT going anywhere if our best WR is Devin Hester. Of course, this coaching staff is bound and determined to make hester something he just obviously isn't, a number 1 WR. It's too bad they can't evaluate talent, we might just have 1-2 fewer losses. We probably won't see Aromashudo until we're definitely eliminated from contention but that will only serve to reinforce the ineptitude of this entire coaching staff so maybe that's a good thing. You do realize he was going to be the #3 receiver until he got hurt right before the 1st game and then Knox got playing time. I, for one, am glad that we were able to find out Knox can play. What have seen to show that he is a physical receiver? He made 1 nice play in the preseason and had 1 catch the other night. Look, I want to see him play too but I am under no illusion that he is going to be the answer to our problems at WR. He has been bouncing around the league for a few yrs now and has yet to stick with anyone. Peace
GakMan23
Actually he was only with the Colts before us where he wasn't able to beat out Reggie Wayne or Marvin Harrison. Plus they had Anthony Gonzalez.
Connorbear
Actually he was only with the Colts before us where he wasn't able to beat out Reggie Wayne or Marvin Harrison. Plus they had Anthony Gonzalez. Per the Bears website: DA spent the 2006 preseason with Miami and was cut at the end of the preseason. Indy picked him up and he spent 2006 on their practice squad. He played 6 games for Indy in 2007 with 7 catches and 96 yds. DA spent most of the 2008 season on the Washington practice squad. The Bears claimed him of the Washington practice squad and he spent the last 3 games inactive on their roster. He has bounced around quite a bit. I am hoping he can step up here. Hopefully, we get a chance to judge him the rest of the yr. Peace

GakMan23
Miami in 2006 had Wes Welker, Chris Chambers, and Marty Booker as receivers. In 2008 Washington had Santana Moss, James Thrash, and Randel El. Neither team had room for him on their 53 man roster and due to the quality of receivers they had, they probably had other skill position players they wanted to keep on their practice squad. Teams normally keep 5 to 6 recievers on their 53 man rosters. Did Miami and Washington only keep 3 those years????? Regardless, I want to see him play as well. I am just not under the illusion he is going to be better than anything we have now (we have seen this same phenomenom with Haas and Rideau). I would love it if he was, but I am not holding out hope for it. Peace
GakMan23
I believe Washington had a couple of 2nd year guys on the roster in Devin Thomas, and Malcolm Kelly. Also TE/WR Mike Sellers. Miami had Cliff Russell and Derek Hagan (3rd rd pick). So I'm just hoping maybe he didn't have a chance other places before here and might be able to take that next step. I can tell you this there is no way he could be a worse receiver then Rashied Davis.

However, Davis is one of our best special teams players and heplays all 4 phases of ST. Got to give Toub a couple of players he wants. Does anybody know if he has been on the field(for the Bears) before that play? If that was the only snap he's played, I definatly want to see more.
