nfoligno
Seriously, we need to fire our trainers and team doctors. I mean, this is an injury Kreutz first dealt w/ early 2008, which means he has essentially been playing two seasons w/ a weakened achillies. No wonder why he looks weak out there. What bothers me too is it took a "second opinion" to recommend surgury. I can't help but wonder if either team doctors have not told him for the last two years that he didn't need surgury. Of late, I have l really begun to question our medical staff. http://www.chicagobreakingsports.com/2010/...y-thursday.html Peace

madlithuanian
You appear to be onto something... I recall even Jimmy Mac saying similar back in the day. What gives? defiantgiant
Kreutz's surgery: Bone spur, not tendon Yeah, it was a cleanup type of procedure. Hopefully it'll make him a little more effective than he has been for the past couple of years, but really we need to find out if Beekman can take over or not. There's no way Kreutz has more than a couple of years left, and he's not the player he used to be. It sucks because he's definitely the leader on offense, but I think this team needs to give Beekman a chance to win the job for good, and sooner rather than later. I agree, however I would give ALL backups a chance to win. I am all for competition.

nfoligno
I am pretty sure Kreutz will be playing this year the final year of his contract. He will be an UFA after the 2010 season. Yeah, it was a cleanup type of procedure. Hopefully it'll make him a little more effective than he has been for the past couple of years, but really we need to find out if Beekman can take over or not. madlithuanian
Yes, but that's acting! Zack G didn't take that punch in real life! Wouldn't need to be Tyson in his heyday. nfoligno
Call me crazy, but I have a feeling if Zack, you or I were to take a round house from Tyson today, we would not know the difference between Tyson of today and of 10 years ago. We would be out cold on the ground. Yes, but that's acting! Zack G didn't take that punch in real life!
madlithuanian
Not the point I was making.... If Zack, or any regular guy, for that matter, were to take a cold clock punch to the jaw by Tyson, our jawbones would be shattered beyond recognition and there's a good chance we'd either be severly concussed, have brain damage, or be dead. Zack's scene was from a movie. The guys Tyson KO'ed in the day were actually KO'ed. And were fighters. Call me crazy, but I have a feeling if Zack, you or I were to take a round house from Tyson today, we would not know the difference between Tyson of today and of 10 years ago. We would be out cold on the ground.
