madlithuanian
Jets officially hire Mark Carrier Posted by Mike Florio on February 12, 2010 5:55 PM ET During his career, Mark Carrier was a hard-hitting safety whose penchant for kill shots ultimately got him suspended. He has since gotten into coaching, and he'll now join one of the toughest defensive units in the land. The Jets have announced that Carrier has been hired to coach the team's defensive line. The impending move was first reported last week by the Baltimore Sun. Carrier spent the past four seasons as the secondary coach with the Ravens. chitownman
I am surprised that Rex Ryan hired a DB to coach his "D" line. Hope that Carrier does well either way, just not what I would have expected.
madlithuanian
He's probably a firey guy that motivates and knows all of the D. Kind of what we could use! chitownman said: I am surprised that Rex Ryan hired a DB to coach his "D" line. Hope that Carrier does well either way, just not what I would have expected.
