Alaskan Grizzly
http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2010/writ...in&hpt=Sbin Really amazing for his age... At first I thought you had lost your mind but when I read the article I started to think, why not? The city would love it, especially if he were to do decent which it sounds as though he could. The only question I would ask is how he would feel the day after. Bouncing back is not like being in your early 20's.

madlithuanian
I lost my mind a while back! Henceforth the "Mad" in my namesake! On paper I love the idea. And as in great shape Willie is in, getting hit isn't the same as practicing. But, with that said, since Smith doens't allow tackling at the training camps, Gault would tear it up! I think it would be a fun story if we brought him in for a tryout... At first I thought you had lost your mind but when I read the article I started to think, why not? The assets are too valuable. Peace
ChileBear
Everyone here does realize that the majority of training camps do not have tackling in the NFL, right? The assets are too valuable. Peace And every year you hear complaints from players and then fans from one or two teams that do have physical camps. Lovie is a players' coach and he doesn't run things in a "down your throat," "let's beat everyone up" way. Now, I do suggest that Marinelli get the guys some extra work on the tackling dummies--kinda like working on free throws in bball. Do it a hundred t imes to finish up every practice. Maybe they'd get the idea.
jason
Cant be worse than Rashied Davis at any age... The funny thing is, I think the idea isn't that bad. And, you're right, I don't see how he wouldn't be an improvement over Davis as a receiver. Unfortunately, there is no way Gault would survive if he had to play ST.
