Alaskan Grizzly
Just a what if, but recently while watching combine results on NFL Network I heard analyst Mike Mayock say that Myron Rolle will probably go somewhere in the 4th or 5th round. He is a "Safety" and sounds as though he could cover the position perfectly as the Bears would need. Pair that with his Rhodes Scholar title and desire to become a brain surgeon then I think the Bears could definitely be onto something. The article below claims he posted a 4.4 40 time, played at Florida State and his last name is Rolle. What say you? http://bleacherreport.com/articles/350136-...e-be-drafted-in

What say you? http://bleacherreport.com/articles/350136-...e-be-drafted-in I have to claim credit for this post, sorry. haha. but anyway. Hes a perfect guy in my eyes to reinstate the respectability of the Bears, instead of morons like Benson, Tank, etc. Plus if hes there in the 4th why not. PS. I cant see him being anywhere close to a 4.40 time. But big deal I was about to post the following, but its related so here: http://www.nfl.com/draft/story?id=09000d5d...mp;confirm=true Georgia Tech ProDay will be held tomorrow where FS Morgan Burnett will run the 40yrd dash. If hes anywhere near 4.5 hes our guy. True playmaker and also can lay wood.
AZ54
I thought he ran a 4.7 at the oombine?
Alaskan Grizzly
I thought he ran a 4.7 at the oombine? Well, can't seem to find a good solid time on his 40 as his own personal site says 4.59 http://myronrolle.com/2010/03/02/official-combine-results/ And this site, which shows overall results for all positions, has him at 4.67 http://www.draftcountdown.com/features/Sco...positions/S.php Either way, I still think he should be a top consideration for Safety. It was 4.67 official at combine. but i think Prodays are much more accurate now. Theirs is scheduled on thr 19th i believe. If we dont get a FS (ei Atogwe/SHarper) draft both Rolle and Burnett
azbearsfan
If he can play OL then great, otherwise we do not need another SS. We need a FS and some Olinemen.

I would love to get Otagwe(sp?). But I'm not sure how much more the Bears are willing to spend. They have already spent a ton the off season. I think we may be done. But I think an impact S prospect will be had in the 3rd, better than a G in the 3rd.

madlithuanian
Agreed. My hope is the first pick is OL... Then after that I'd prefer another OL, but if there is a great saftey to be had, then do it. It's a need as well. But OL first. If he can play OL then great, otherwise we do not need another SS. We need a FS and some Olinemen.

Ud figure some mid-tier guys may get released. I just cant imagine an OL in the 3rd will really be that much of an impact.

If we dont get a FS (ei Atogwe/SHarper) draft both Rolle and Burnett No way are pro days more accurate, at least not in relative terms. College teams skew things to the benefit of their players. I want to compare apples to apples and at the combine it's all the same surface, same starter, and same timing system (electronic). Players may be working back from injury and may just run badly at the combine so it's worth it to get a second read in some cases. In end whatever you see at the combine or pro day has to match what you see on gameday film.
