ASHKUM BEAR
Looking over the whole draft now, there's only one pick I would've made different if I were GM. But overall, with 5 selections that we took in the given slot, JA did alright. I guess CB depth was more important than OG depth in their eyes. Well see. RD3 - Major Wright FS - Best S on the board. He's a vocal leader and started as a Freshman for Florida. RD4 - Corey Wooten DE - If it weren't for an injury, he wouldve been RD1 talent. Depth needed if Anderson leaves next yr RD5 - Mitch Petrus OG - Powerful interior lineman that would improve anyones run game. RD6 - Dan LeFavour QB - Looking at what else we couldve taken, I'm very happy with QB. Other considerations: Ramon Harewood OT, Myron Rolle SS, Kyle Calloway OT. RD7 - J'Marcus Webb OT - Young big kid Tice can work on molding.
CrackerDog
I think you guys are NUTS! If JA proved anything with this draft he proved he blew the SAME position picks in recent drafts. This is ONLY made better if we sommehow bring in Faneca and these crapshot guys in the secondary we drafted pan out. Tice should be able to coach up the OL but you can't make a silk purse out of a sow's ear. RD3 - Major Wright FS - OK pick. We were lucky he fell to us. I think he'll fit the system well. RD4 - Corey Wooten DE - Hasn't JA learned from picking injury prone players yet? RD5 - Joshua Moore DB - I hope he can play corner. I'm sick of drafting nicklebacks who suck donkey cock. RD6 - Dan LeFavour QB - Sure, I like the kid. It was a great scene in suburban Chicago when he was picked. But we need a #2 and that's going to be a veteran. That means we'll tie up 3 spots for QB. When you have a guy like Cutler, you should beef up the line to protect him and expect he'll play every game. Let me ask you, how many times have the Colts had a #3 QB on the roster during Manning's tenure? RD7 - J'Marcus Webb OT - Probably won't make the team. Not that many #7's do. We should've went for the center from Notre Dame who went 2 picks after we picked the QB. He's got real potential and under Tice would've been someone we could count on when old man Olin dies on the field. You know I'm usually a very positive koolaid drinker but damn if I can find it in me to like this bunch.

Let's be real, for the Bears, this draft was all about the price for getting Cutler and then brining in Peppers as a FA. I'm good with that. Wright might just be a good pick, but he's still a thrd rounder, and Wooten is being seen as a good riskas a fourth rounder. After that there is a slim chance that anybody wuld make the team. Have a ittle kool aid and get ready for a long off season.

Granted, I think OL was/is more important than DE, and the 4th rd pick could have been used on something more important in my opinion. ParkerBear7
Hey Parker, are the Bronco Fans buying into the Tebow hype? I personally see a BIG BUST coming. I do not think he will be anything more than a backup Qb along the lines of a Rex Grossman. I will update you after I listen to the morning and evening local sports guys during my commute. I personally think Josh McDaniels is an idiot. He will regret passing on Dez Bryant. I do not mind the Tebow pick just not sure he needed to get him in round 1. With all the picks the donkeys had in the last 2 drafts they could have rebuilt their OL and DEF and made a move on SD in the West.

He will never get away from picking Tebow in Rd 1. Essentially he traded Cutler for Orton and Tebow. I know there is more to it than that but in the end that'll be how fans see it. The Gaines Adams deal made no sense. Agreed on Gaines Adams. To give up your secound rounder on a definite project, when you know that you don't hae a first round pick is not to bright, IMdO. And then he tragically dies. Maybe we just weren't meant to have that pick.

Yeah, agreed - that one change makes it a significantly better draft. I mean, it's good to have an upgrade at the nickel or dime spot, but we have SO many options for that currently on the roster. Danieal Manning was a more than capable nickel, and with the addition of Wright, we could move Steltz to SS (to compete with Afalava) and move Manning back to the nickel where he's the most productive. Even if they want to keep Manning at SS, Corey Graham can play nickel pretty well. Then Tim Jennings could fight it out for the dime back spot with our other young guys (DJ Moore and Turenne) and whatever UDFAs we bring in. I just don't see where Josh Moore fits into the picture. ParkerBear7
Hey Parker, are the Bronco Fans buying into the Tebow hype? I personally see a BIG BUST coming. I do not think he will be anything more than a backup Qb along the lines of a Rex Grossman. Here is the summary: the local morning am show on espn, the hosts gushed about the broncos draft and they even had JMcDaniels on the show. For all of those who complain about JA and LS just remeber which side of the trade we are on. Things could be far worse in Chicago. Collin Cowheard flat out said the broncos are a mess and highly question JMcD picking Tebow in the 1st and passing on Dez Bryant. The drive home former Bronco Alford Williams was disgusted with the trades up for Tebow (and hated the trading of a 2nd, 3rd and 4th rounders to move back into round 1 to get Tebow) Furthermore he thinks they drafted a WR with their 1st pick who can only run 2 routes and could not believe they passed on a talent like Bryant; whos character flaw was that he lied to the NCCA about having a relationship with Dion Sanders; which he did nothing wrong but thought since they were investigating he was afraid and that was why he lied. The co=host D-Mac seemed to like the broncos draft greatly and could not understand why Alford was so down on the brocos draft. Alford said he would rather the Broncos pick up Jmarcus Russell should the Raiders cut him than drafting an option QB (Tebow) in the 1st round. I think Alford Williams and Colin Cowheard are right; the day coach Josh cam to Denver was the begining of the end for the donkeys.

To me this is why our constitution says to be eligble for the position of President of the USA you have to be atleast 35 years old and have relevant experience. I do not think Josh has enough nor has he prooved anything before he got the job. Let this be a lesson that we not repeat. Again, things could be a lot worse in Chicago. But if it were not for JMcD than Cutler probably would not be a Bear!

Hiring retread guys over and over creates a situation where coaches and front office guys are so far in the woods that they can't see the trees.
