Guest TerraTor
http://theredzone.org/BlogDescription/tabi...ns/Default.aspx Judge: Vikings Williamses must serve four-game suspensions May 6 5/6/2010 10:53:44 AM | More Minnesota Vikings Kevin and Pat Williams must serve four-game suspensions even though the NFL is their employer and violated their rights under state labor laws, Hennepin County Judge Gary Larson ruled Thursday according to Rochelle Olson of the Minneapolis Star Tribune. The players were granted a court hearing at 2 p.m. They will ask Larson to keep in place a restraining order that allows the Williamses to play pending their appeals. Larson presided over a five-day trial in mid-May that included testimony from the two players and numerous NFL and Vikings executives. Although the judge had harsh words for NFL executives, he determined the two players were not harmed by the violations of state law. The two were suspended in 2008 for four games for testing positive for Bumetanide, a diuretic and an unlisted ingredient in the over-the-counter supplement StarCaps. The Williamses filed a lawsuit over their suspensions, which have been on hold pending resolution of their lawsuit. Much of the case was dismissed. Larson sought to answer these questions: whether the Vikings or the NFL employ the players and whether the NFL leaked the results of their tests to the media. Surprised they didnt just change the rules for Brett Favre and the vikings
