flea
Source: Bears add QB Teel By Jeff Dickerson ESPNChicago.com Archive CHICAGO -- Working with only three quarterbacks for most of the offseason, the Bears opted to add another arm before reporting to training camp next week, agreeing to terms on a deal with free agent Mike Teel, a league source confirmed Tuesday night. The news was first reported by the Bergen Record. After a productive collegiate career at Rutgers, Teel was drafted in the sixth round by Seattle in 2009, and spent last season as the Seahawks' No. 3 quarterback. Teel, who did not play last year, was cut by Seattle in May and claimed off waivers by New England. The quarterback lasted only three weeks with the Patriots before being released. Teel becomes the fourth quarterback on the Bears' roster, joining incumbent starter Jay Cutler and reserves Caleb Hanie and rookie sixth round selection Dan LeFevour. http://sports.espn.go.com/chicago/nfl/news/story?id=5396836

defiantgiant
just a camp arm but not much happening so here ya go Yeah, definitely just for camp. I can't see the guy beating out LeFevour for the 3rd QB spot, based on draft status alone. Also, the Bears waived Vic Hall and some undrafted DL guy. I go to Virginia, so I was really excited when they got Hall, but I can see why they let him go. They're stacked with developmental WR prospects, and he's probably too small to play corner in the NFL. Still, it's a shame - he was awesome in college.
