madlithuanian
Wow! PS - It's K-6, 7-8, then 9-12! You should have heard the arguments yesterday. My kids will have similar to what I did through middle, but here, they have 9/10 and then sep 11/12. Dang class sizes are in the 1,500 to 1,800 range. Others said they had k-6, but their middle was 7-9. In the end, it was simply educational how different school systems are set up, even when they are 10 minutes apart, and how passionately people can argue which is better. flea
Well while I would be the beneficiary of worst record 1st pick, I disagree with it, make it random NOBODY should be forced to use their keepers. if you don't like your players you should have the choice to draft better ones( I think most pick at least 1 keeper probably 2 anyway)
nfoligno
Ouch. I will say, my friend made a convincing argument for Forte as the #1 RB (in a PPR league) last year. AP was the usual #1, but he doesn't catch the ball, and thus loses a ton of potential points. I ended up taking S.Jackson with my top pick. He actually did very well, but considering how horrible that offense was, his numbers could have been so so much better. In terms of keepers, Crushers (Bowlingtwig) is sitting pretty damn sweet. He took Chris Johnson in the 2nd. It will cost him his 1st round pick, but as CJ is considered the #1 pick in most Mocks so far, he is going to be a solid keeper regardless. He took Aaron Rodgers in the 4th, and I have seen many mocks with him going as high as 2nd. He took Cedric Benson in the 11th. Benson not only had a very solid season last year, but with the additional receivers, he is likely to find some wide open lanes this year. He took McCoy in the 12th. Not huge rushing yardage last year, but a solid 4.1 avg in his rookie season, plus he added 40 catches, which is huge in our league. Westbrook is gone, and McCoy could be big this year. No freaking wonder he won last year. I took Forte 1st in my other league....

nfoligno
Who the hell is Devildogs? Damn. I was just looking over the rosters for potential keepers, and this team really stuck out. Ray Rice proved to be a stud last year. 1,300+ rushing. 78-700 receiving and 8 scores. Baltimore upgraded their OL and added Boldin, which should take some heat out of the box. Rice would likely not only be a 1st round pick, but a high 1st round pick. All Devil will have to give up for him is a 7! With his pick in the 2nd to last round, he took this QB by the name of Brett Favre. Sure, he "could" retire, but who believes that. All Favre did last year was throw for 4,200 yards and 33 TDs. And he can keep this player for an 18th round pick! Other standout potential keepers... Bluecollar - Crabtree and Shonne Greene will cost a 13/14. Nopper - Vernon Davis will cost a 16. Papabear - Steve Smith (NYG) will cost a 9. Crusher - Benson for a 10. Branch - Ricky Williams for a 10. But the best value I have seen thus far....drum roll please.... Cali Bears can keep Brandon Jacobs for only a 1st round pick (as he was taken in the 2nd last year)

Stinger226
Well what if we change the draft order. Here's an example. Let's say the top 3 guys who drafted last year, don't want to keep their guy, but the 4th guy does...the 4th guy would move up to 1st pick...so in the 2nd round he picks last. So anyone who wants to keep their guys moves to the top and drafts their guys... Let's use me as an example....I drafted AP 2nd and I want him again and the guy who drafted Forte 1st doesn't want his. I would move to 1st and draft AP, then I would pick last in the 2nd round. But here is where it gets interesting, since we do it in basketball. The guy who picked 1st last year has the option of moving to the end or staying at 2nd. I know many had waiting that long between picks. Many would prefer to 2 great players, rather 1 elite. Im in a lot of FF leagues, and lets just keep it simple. What ever round you had a keeper , you lose that round. You dont have to keep your keeper, you just go back in the draft. I dont care if we go in inverted order or re draw. ( I picked 9th last year and finished 2nd, so the order isnt always the tell tale sing of where you finish)

nfoligno
Drunk, I began a new thread titled FF Keeper league, and listed the issues I think we need voted on. I went back and found the old thread when we discussed and voted on some issues, and linked that thread to the new thread. It looks like we actually voted on ONE keeper, not two. From what I could tell, one keeper had 6 votes and thus won. Anyway, as I said, I listed the issues I believe still need to be resolved. Is there anyway that thread can be tagged or whatever it is that is done to put it at the top. This thread has so much discussion I fear any votes could be lost. I dont care which way we do it. Do we need another vote?
