He had two points today:

1. He's almost positive Hanie will be making his first career start on Sunday.

2. Hub was saying that they couldn't do 3 step drops because the receivers can't be trusted. Cutler had to move Hester on many plays because he was lined up on the wrong side. He flat out did not trust that the receivers would be where they were supposed to be.

If he's correct, this loss stems from what a good lot of us have been bitching about for years now...

OL

WR's

Coaching...

Well, SURPRISE, SURPRISE, SURPRISE!!

Here's the rub...fix the OL, and the WRs suddenly look better. It doesn't matter if the Bears pick up Reggie Wayne and Andre Johnson if the Bears' QB is under a pile. On the other hand, even nobodies can do work in the NFL if the OL gives an NFL talent - especially one with an arm like Cutler - the time to survey the field. Time helps receivers get open.

So wait Jason, lemme see if I understand what you're saying. You're saying that a good OL makes mediocre players better? Interesting idea. You should have mentioned it before.

Sounds like Jay Cutler suffered his 1st concussion when Greg Olsen whiffed on a block and Cutler got killed and fumbled the football.

Olsen had one of the worse games I've ever seen. He gave up a few sacks on his own, stopped running on multiple passes (2 of which led to picks). They were poor passes regardless, but at least one of them wouldn't have resulted in a pick had he not quit on the route.

That would mean Cutler might have suffered a 2nd concussion on the hit he took on Ross at the end of the 2nd half. That is a pretty scary thing because all medical statistics state that the secondary blows after suffering a concussion are supposedly worse than the initial blow.

Oh and once again, people called Cutler a pussy. He took 4 sacks after getting a concussion. That is just mind-blowing and I can't believe how stupid our doctors must be that they didn't check him out in between series, etc.

Sarcasm noted. You'd think that since it's so painfully obvious to me (and so many others) that the high and mighty folks running the Bears would have noticed it as well. Nah...screw that shit, let's get another DT; or better yet, let's draft another SS and call him a FS! Yeah, that's the ticket!

It seems that the Bears front office thinks it works the same way for all positions. Sorry, but it works for the defense as well. The best DBs and Safeties in the world turn mediocre when the DL doesn't get any pressure.

They've tried the DL approach. Now let's see the OL approach.

I guarantee at least 1 first or 2nd is used on a lineman. I would be fine if we signed a FA and used our top 2 picks on an olineman this year.

Fixing the OL will fix a lot. And it must be the first thing any GM that is on deck should take care of for us being JA or hopefully someone new.

We should be dealing for McNeil right now... Tommie, something...get McNeil. We can draft at least 2 more potential starters next draft, and hopefully grab at least 2 other OL projects.

Agreed. If anyone desrves being called a pussy, it's Olsen...
