I wished we had a different coach, but Lovie is right. Thru 1/4 of the season we are 3-1 and that's great. If we beat Carolina (I believe a 50/50 chance) we will have the best record in the NFC or tied and if KC looses at Colts and we win, we will have the best record in the nfl or tied. so lets forget about the last loss and look foward to Carolina. I believe our defense is playing pretty good, especially in the red zone. When we are on defense I like 3rd and short more than 3rd and long for some reason. I do not like Cutler as much as others but i root for him. When things go wrong he puts his head down like it's never his fault(I'm talking about his year and a quarter here, not just last week) when he should get with the reciever and talk to him and share dialog. He also needs to take what the defense gives him MORE OFTEN, damitt! I believe we have always had pretty good defenses, but the offense needs to snap the ball with less than 4 seconds on the clock and have more time of possesion for this defense to keep playing at a high level. Devin A. needs to see the field i don't care if he droped the ball once or twice, something else is up with this.

I'm just not a big fan of this way of thinking.

Put it this way...

Sunday: Suppose you only have a dollar to your name. You walk through the park and happen upon a ham sandwich and a bottle of water.

Monday: Still no cash, starting to get hungry. Luckily for you, the hot dog vendor hooks you up because he's generous.

Tuesday: Broke as usual, but woke up with a growling stomach. Foraged for nuts and berries, and possibly did some dumpster diving.

Wednesday: Hungry as hell!

So, on Thursday do you think, "Well, despite my limited means, I got food and drink three out of the last four days," or do you get off your ass and get to work? Personally, I'm a big fan of fixing problems and not patting myself on the back with false reassurance.

I don't understand where you are coming from. So do you think we should be 4-0? I do not like lovie, but if i were in his shoes i want to build confidence. Do you want him to say were out of the race because we lost this last game and at 3-1 we're out, or say, we should be 0-4??? Read my post again I want to move on, not complain all the time.

If I was lazy on Sunday(like many) and did not walk thru the park I would of never found the sandwich and bottle of water. If I was lazy(like many) on Monday and did not look for the hot dog vendor and let him know my situation, i would of never got the hook up. On Tuesday if i was lazy(like many) and did not forge for nuts and berries and look in the dumster, my stomach would still be growling. On Wednesday I find a way to satisfy my hunger again, I am getting better because of the PRACTICE of the other days. And thats what i call not giving up. KEEP ON PRACTICING TO GET BETTER.

But you're putting yourself through a daily struggle not knowing if you will be able to have a chance to eat everyday.

If you start looking for that job and stop being satisfied with bottom of the barrel food(ugly wins), eventually you will get the job(new management and coaching). You'll have to stick it out until you get hired and get a pay check, but once you do you can finally have some taco bell. Eventually when you have your life straitened out, you can finally start having steak on occasion.

It's all about the quality of life you want and will settle for.

I get what you're trying to say, but your analogy implies that there is a quick and easy solution.

So, what is the quick and easy solution that will change the manner in which the Bears win games? What is the quick and easy solution to getting the o-line to block better as a unit? I don't think you have one.

Here's how to fix your analogy: a guy has a chance of a new job back in January. He decides to stick with the job he has. Now, 10 months later, the job he kept isn't feeding himself as well as he would like. The problem is though, that at this time of year, there aren't any other jobs available. So, what do you do? Do you quit your job and THEN eat out of dumpsters for the rest of the year, or do you work with what you have, put in some overtime, and do the best you can with what you've got?

Jobs and wins are not guaranteed. so work the best you can with what you got. Keep trying. Sometimes it's better to be lucky than good. "You'll have to stick it out until you get hired" Exactly, if you did not get that food from the park, hotdog vendor and dumpster, you might of died of hunger before you were able to get hired.

I love your analogy. And totally agree. Its like he goes into every game thinking "lets see what happens"

Instead of wondering and getting lucky, FUGGIN FIX IT
