BearFan2000
I can see it now. We win the game but hear the "the Bears get lucky again facing a team with key injury" kinda deal. IMHO Sanchez isn't that good as it is. The easy headlines for this game will be if the Jets win "Sanchez plays tough through injury and leads his team to victory." Bears win "Bears luck continues as they beat an injured Sanchez lead Jets team"
Alaskan Grizzly
Hey if I read at the end of the year: 'After getting lucky through the playoffs the Bears luckily win over a far superior (insert opposing team here) to win their first Super Bowl since 1985'. I could care less about the speculation. I'll say it again..."that's why they play the game".

BearFan2000
yep he's mediocre to average at best when healthy. This is just setting up what the excuse will be. What the media ignores there is nothing we can do about facing teams that are hurting in some way. You play the games on your schedule win enough games and you make the playoff, win all those and you are a Champion. Injuries are a part of the game. Sure we've remained healthy and other teams we've faced have had injuries to key players. You still have to play the game and take advantage of that. We've seen the Bears get beat by these kinds of teams more times that I care to admit. So I will not pay attention to the whole "they just get lucky" It actually speaks worse of your team if they can't win those games.
tshanno
This whole cartilage tear thng sounds over blown: http://bearingthenews.com/?p=212 Mark Cannizzaro at the New York Post is strongly implying that Ryan is making a bigger deal out of Sanchez’s shoulder than it really is to distract from what he calls “Foot-Fetish-Gate”: http://www.nypost.com/p/sports/jets/embatt...J#ixzz1925iALht “Far be it from us to sniff out a conspiracy on the part of Ryan and the Jets to divert the flood of attention on Ryan’s “personal matter” by putting an overly dramatic spin on Sanchez’ status, but … “From offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer to the offensive players who were on the field in practice, they all thought Sanchez, who took most of the reps, looked fine. “‘Watching him throw, I thought he looked very good,’ Schottenheimer said.” Tom S.
