azbearsfan
Looks good so far. Line is actually looking good. Cutler is getting rid of the ball. Martz is calling nice quick plays. Keep it rolling.
jason
Agreed. Didn't like the initial penalty on the OL, but the running attack has been looking pretty good. And the TD run was up the middle...which is all OL (and a great seal block by Olsen). What I don't like right now is the D...they don't look great. The fumble was nice, but the pressure isn't happening and the cover-2 has holes.

adam
Way too many holes in the coverage, we are making Sanchez look like an All-Pro.
Bears4Ever_34
Bears pass rush getting no pressure whatsoever. Sanchez is carving us apart..
jason
Tommie has been in on two good plays. Unfortunately, the Bears' cover-2 is the Bears' cover-2. It relies far too much on a four-man rush creating pressure, and allows average QBs to carve up the secondary for the majority of the field. Hell, on the one play that there was a rush, the Bears sent 6 and the Jets calmly stoned it before throwing a 10-15 yd completion. Let's hope they hold here. jason
And that is why I hate the cover-2. Gave up the majority of the field far too easy, and a good team will get a TD if you let them get close.

Well there Tommie got killed on the TD play so that sucks. So what should they do if their 6 man blitz gets stoned?
Bears4Ever_34
This defense better wake up. This isn't the Vikings anymore!
BearFan2000
offense needs to keep going. D needs to wake up.
jason
Well there Tommie got killed on the TD play so that sucks. So what should they do if their 6 man blitz gets stoned? Design less predictable blitz packages and use them in unorthodox, unpredictable patterns. Other teams can do it, but it's just not part of the cover-2 package. Ever notice how frequently the Bears send a blitz that gets stoned? It sure does seem to happen more often to the Bears than most other teams I watch. When was the last time you saw a Bears' blitzer come clean? Not that often. I just flipped the channel during commercials, and saw it happens in the Rams/Niners game. adam
Where was the progression on that? Good protection and he throws to his first read, an out into double coverage. Wow, that was brutal.
jason
Horrible inside shoulder throw. That play was far too quick for it to be an inside shoulder throw. HAD to be outside shoulder...and it wasn't.
Bears4Ever_34
This Bears team is definitely one and done. Defense = overrated and Cutler is essentially Rex Grossman.

I hope you're wrong, but I suspect you're right. I've said it pretty much all year. But since they've officially made it into the playoffs, I'm going to hope for greatness over expecting the norm. adam
Well, if we don't get the 2nd seed and a bye, we are the 3rd seed and will play the last Wild Card team. That means New Orleans (1st Wild Card) gets to play the West winner. We get NYG, GB, or TB at home.
