jason
Forte can't even make one guy miss. Hope the Bears draft a running back next year.. Stop. Please. Seriously. Stop.
Bears4Ever_34
Stop. Please. Seriously. Stop. Any other starting RB in the league would have taken that to the house.

jason
Any other starting RB in the league would have taken that to the house. You don't know that. I've seen plenty of RBs this year get stopped by one guy. I know because I've yelled at my fantasy RB for not getting me points. Drafting a RB in other than a VERY late round would be stupid. BearFan2000
nice job Jay. we'll rip on you for the bad throws but cudos at seeing the field and running it in. Now the D needs to step up...... well we can hope can't we?

jason
Great adjustment by Martz...as alluded to by the announcers. Reminds me of the Cowboys game. They sent the house...lots of pressure. Worked for a while, and then Martz changed it to a bunch of quick hitters to the RBs and the TEs. Thank God we don't have those morons Turner or Shoop any more. An OC who can actually adjust is such a luxury.
BearFan2000
gotta tackle better than this. we are giving any completion they want and we aren't tackling.

Personally, if it were 7 picks in 7 rounds, I'd like to see something like the following: OL OL DL S QB OL P
BearFan2000
so it will likely be 28-17 at half can the Bears make adjustments in the second half?
Bears4Ever_34
Holy cow, you would think this defense could stop them just once. This is an absolute clinic, similar to the Patriots game of how to exploit our defense.

This is an absolute clinic, similar to the Patriots game of how to exploit our defense. Doesn't take a genius. I often wonder how the Bears have done as well as they have with this defensive scheme. It's ALL about the turnovers. The Bears have been fortunate enough to get them. Otherwise, every competent offense has gashed them.
azbearsfan
WTF is Harris covering. Lucky he dropped it.
jason
So...quick...before the kickoff. What do you want to bet that: 1) The Jets will kick short to an up man. 2) There will be time left on the clock 3) The Bears will not take a shot at a hail mary (which has worked more than once this year). Come on now, plenty of teams run the cover 2 or have cover 2 coverage in their schemes. Plus the fact that we dont only run a cover two all the time. At some point its time to looks at the players. BearFan2000
well as ugly as that was, we caught a huge break on that incomplete pass. 24-17 Down 7 at the half Jets will have the ball to start the half. We need a defensive stop bad to start the second half. They have all the momentum going into half time. If we have any hope of winning this game the defense will need to set the tone with a 3 and out. Need to get after Sanchez we are making him look like Joe Montana out there. If we let them march right down and score and put is in a 14 point hole before we touch the ball in the second half it's over as they will blitz the hell out of our line. Plus the fact that we dont only run a cover two all the time. At some point its time to looks at the players. Agreed to a certain extent. It just seems that every time the Bears are getting bent over the table it's because they're sitting in a cover-2 zone, or some variation, and the QB for the other team just steps up into the pocket and finds his guy in a zone hole. The problem is, the Bears rely on a four-man rush more than any team in the NFL (saw a stat on it a week or two back), and it just doesn't work. There needs to be a better design of blitzing or utilizing the front four if the coaches MUST use only them. It just doesn't seem that any DC or HC who has roots in the cover-2 system knows how to design or implement effective rush/blitz packages. BearFan2000
Finlly R. Davis does something positive knocking that ball down. Not sure about hte play call to go for the fake but without that breakup by Davis the had an open man. Can we take advantage of good field position now and Tie this up. jason
Awesome start to the second half. Briggs gets his hand on a pass and then the Jets blow the fake punt. THEN BAM!!! TD TO KNOX!!

Even though I'm not a Davis lover/hater, he didn't even touch that ball. Brad Smith dropped it. And Cutler made them pay for that BS.
