Ed Hochuli 3:16 Posted April 12, 2011 Report Share Posted April 12, 2011 LAKE FOREST, Ill. – Assuming the NFL labor dispute gets settled in time, the Bears will open their 2011 preseason slate by facing the St. Louis Rams in the annual Hall of Fame Game in Canton, Ohio. The contest is scheduled to be played at 7 p.m. (CT) Sunday, Aug. 7, one day after former Bears defensive end Richard Dent and six others are enshrined in the Pro Football Hall of Fame. The Bears are slated to play a second nationally-televised preseason game at 7 p.m. (CT) Aug. 22 when they visit the New York Giants in a Monday Night Football contest. The Bears are also scheduled to host the Buffalo Bills Aug. 11-14, visit the Tennessee Titans Aug. 25-28 and host the Cleveland Browns Sept. 1-4. Dates and times of those games will be released at a later date. per chicagobears.com. Why the f*** do they play Cleveland every preseason? I'm sick of staring at those ugly brown and orange uniforms with those plain, orange helmets for a pointless preseason game every year. I'm sick of staring at those ugly brown and orange uniforms with those plain, orange helmets for a pointless preseason game every year. Teams like Cleveland & Tennessee make sense since they are AFC teams who are fairly close to Chicago. Why travel far for pre-season? Nobody really gives a damn. Last year the Bears didn't win a single pre-season game, and the most compelling position battle was Asiata vs Lance Louis. We wound up winning our first 3 games and benching both those guys. Why travel far for pre-season? Nobody really gives a damn. Last year the Bears didn't win a single pre-season game, and the most compelling position battle was Asiata vs Lance Louis. We wound up winning our first 3 games and benching both those guys. I highly doubt the scheduling for the preseason has much to do with location.
