azbearsfan
http://www.suntimes.com/sports/football/be...ckout-ends.html Will JA be ready to pull the trigger on some of these guys? It will be interesting to see what the Bears get out of the feeding frenzy of free agency this year.
Guest TerraTor
wouldnt mind either of the DTs metioned.. Who is our 3rd LB? Are we sticking with Roach? Any interest in Stewart Bradley? Personally i think Vjack and an OG (under 30) would make my day. Richard Marshall is probably going to be in a bears uni as well
WheresMyronBaker
My FA sleeper pick is Manny Lawson to fill in at SLB.
Guest TerraTor
I'd take Manny
madlithuanian
If I recall, he's a pretty fast guy. Could be a good Smith fit... My FA sleeper pick is Manny Lawson to fill in at SLB.
AZ54
My guess is that many players agents already have deals in place and people will be surprised at how quickly many signings get done. While players won't say it, they have to be nervous knowing there's just a few days to find a job. Now for the top tier FAs it's going to be very interesting to see how that shakes out with so little time. For these big deals player usually like to play one club against another but with teams reportedly required to spend a certain amount of money they can't sit back and wait for very long before jumping to their second option. WheresMyronBaker
Manny is at least as big as Urlacher (6'5" 240) and ran a 4.43 at the combine. WMB likey. http://www.footballsfuture.com/2006/prospe...nny_lawson.html
Ed Hochuli 3:16
Not a chance on Lawson. The Bears will keep Wilson AND Roach before Manny Lawson.
WheresMyronBaker
I cant think of any obvious reason why this is a no-go on Lawson. Certainly not due to cost, or need.

Ed Hochuli 3:16
Wilson? That guy has never stepped on a field Would you like to wager on him coming back? Would you like to wager on your statement that he has "never stepped on a field?"

Don't give a shit about Rod Wilson considering he wasn't on the team for majority of the past few seasons
Ed Hochuli 3:16
Don't give a shit about Rod Wilson considering he wasn't on the team for majority of the past few seasons I mean, Wilson played 15 games last year and did well when called upon. I think it's ridiculous that you could say "he has never stepped on the field" when he clearly has.
