There is a big difference between spending like drunken sailors like Washington, and sitting on the dock of the bay and watching the tide roll in...

 

The Pats do it, and have won. See Corey Dillon, etc.

 

Last year, the Bears spent $120m in the offseason. Are they supposed to do that every offseason? That obviously doesn't mean winning. See: Redskins.

If they were at the salary cap and didn't need upgrades I would agree, but that is not the case.

The Bears need to be like the Patriots and take more chances on good troubled players. Lets get players like Dillion, Moss, Hayesworth, Chad Johnson #85 that may have a few issues but can play

I dont know if we needs all of that, but understanding good value and acting on it is what we need to be doing.
