I just threw up in my mouth

Really, Martz was going heavily downfield in the NFC Championship game? I don't remember that. I remember the Bears getting in trouble because Cutler got hurt early in the game, lost the ability to move or throw accurately, and then Todd Collins got a quarter.

Actually Balta, I think once Hanie got a chance to come in, he did pretty good at getting the ball to his receivers. Seems like things were back on track but unfortunately it was too late.

Really the only two mistakes (and they were big) was that one play (end around?) with Bennett and using Collins. Had not using Collins been the case, something tells me things would have been different.

24 Rush attempts to 38 passing.

Yes, Cutler got hurt and that impacted things...also, let's not forget the genius that put Collins in a Bears uni...Martz.

Ahem. 20 of those 38 passes were in the 4th quarter, AFTER the Bears were losing by two touchdowns, and AFTER Cutler was out of the game. Yes. 20 passes in the 4th quarter.

Let's not forget our genius reverted to his old ways in the last game of the season and in the NFC Championship game... We go normal in those, and it probably is us in the SB...

What really made me sick is him reverting that last game against the Packers. He sticks to the post by-week plan, IMO we win that game and the Pack never make the playoffs. I will probably bitch about that every time it comes up so please excuse my redundancy.

I know most of the PFF guys & as I've stated before if PFF is good enough for NFL teams it's good enough to be quoted on this board.

I'll take your word for it. Especially when you consider the obvious: the Bears allowed by far the most sacks in the league. Therefore they are rated as the worst o-line in the league. (you can blame the scheme, Cutler, and everything else, but a big portion of the blame falls on the o-line.)

It makes sense that the worst o-line will have the worst o-lineman.

Second link:

"Players presently working with the first team are J’Marcus Webb at left tackle, Chris Williams at left guard, Roberto Garza at center, Lance Louis at right guard and rookie Gabe Carimi at right tackle."

To reiterate, Webb-Williams-Garza-Louis-Carimi.

Webb is rated here as the worst OLineman in the NFL last year (and that's worse than Omiyale!).

Williams isn't great at LG.

Garza is a downgrade at C from Kreutz.

Louis is a downgrade at RG from Garza.

Carimi is a rookie.

This is not something Bears' fans should be happy with.

Any news on Spencer from yesterday's practice? And I'm curious to see if any Ols get sacked today by teams over IMdO we still need some Ol help. There's gotta be OG, OT out there that can be serviceable.

True enough...

But I think what got Cutler in trouble was dropping back...not handing off.

The Bears OL could certainly be a big bag of suck, but I don't think they'll be any worse than last year. I know that isn't the most comforting thing to say, but it is what it is.

However, this will be the biggest offensive line we've ever seen in Chicago:

LT- Webb, 6'8'' 340

LG- Williams, 6'6'' 315

C- Spencer, 6'3'' 310

RG- Garza, 6'2'' 310

RT- Carimi, 6'7'' 315
