What was that about the Defense looking old? Old like '85 old??? Rivera remembers those days!!!

YEEHAW!!! Things are looking up fellas.

Old like Allowing Steve Smith to run freely downfield with nobody within 20 yards of him.. Our safeties are terrible. Turns out I should have started Steve Smith in my fantasy league..

Bears 24 - Panthers 17

Closer than we think, because the Bears will be up, the Panthers will be forced to throw, and the DL will not get to Newton fast enough to stop him from scrambling around and finding receivers who will get open if given any mistakes or time (read: Smith).

Ahem. Get out the crystal ball.

Good to see the run game get going. Now if only our defense would force some 3 and outs..

Let's not fool ourselves. I'm happy with the mudhole the offense is stomping in the Panthers' D, but this is more about the Panthers sucking monumentally than the Bears' OL dominating.

This just in, the Carolina rush Defense sucks.

Whatever defense the Bears play, Cover-2, Lovie-2, Zone-Dominant, it doesn't matter. We all know that just about any competent NFL QB can gash them from 20-to-20 until the zone tightens up. This is not a surprise. The defense they play is designed to get pressure with the front-4, and when that doesn't happen (like now), it's incredibly vulnerable.

What happened to the dominance of the Bears front 4 from game 1?

Cam Newton has time to eat his lunch in the pocket. Julius Peppers and Bears pass rush is non existent.

Marinelli needs to dial it up at halftime and get some pressure, or this is going to be a who has the ball last wins game.

Shot their wad early? Maybe the Falcons forgot how the Bears play defense? Maybe the Falcons thought the Bears would actually change their defense? Who knows.
