Wilbon on TO

Featured Replies

It's that time of year again, kids, where I say "let's get TO" and only a few agree with me. This time around Wilbon agrees with me and makes some very good points.

BTW - 72 catches, 900+ yards, 9TDs last year in less than a full season for the miserable Bengals franchise. And he's not a better option than Sanzenbacher, Williams, Bennett, Knox, or Hester?! C'mon.

At the very least Angelo should be making a pitch. And if TO causes problems, no harm done. Cut him. Doesn't fit the system? Who cares?! Most of you don't like it anyway, and it's plainly obvious that Martz is not even running the full Martz system he wants. Again, if he actually doesn't fit the system, cut him.

I don't see how this is a bad idea.

I'm in basic agreement with you. Put him on a super short leash. High incentives...

Bennett is the only guy I thnk that could be a legit guy from our group. He finds seperation and catches.

I'd at least kick the tires... No way I'm paying him anything significant. But, he could be a very good red zone target...which is something we are lacking right now.

TO and Roy Williams Part II?? Idk about that. Didn't work very well in Dallas when they were both a couple years younger, not sure what to think of it now. If he's completely recovered from his knee injury and can make all the cuts necessary I'd think about it.

After further review, I'm going to pass. If it were the beginning of a season, I'd think about it. it sounds like he may be brining in more baggage than even we expected...

He didn't look to be moving very well at his workout. Very slow cutting and coming out of breaks.
