Bears4Ever_34
Well this sucks.. Looks like he's going to be out a while if he's already having surgery now. Didn't see the play he injured it on but now with Carimi out for atleast the next couple weeks, it looks like its Edwin Williams or bust.. jason
Yet more reason why the team's #1 priority is OL.
balta1701-A
The injury could be similar to the one linebacker Brian Urlacher suffered in the first game of the 2009 season. Urlacher was placed on injured reserve after undergoing emergency surgery the same night. Asked about the possibility of losing Williams for an extended period and possibly for the remainder of the season, center Roberto Garza said, "It's definitely going to be a big factor. But Edwin (Williams) did a hell of a job stepping in and filling that role. "Chris is another team leader. We depend on him a lot. Hopefully, we can get him back." It's unclear how Williams suffered the injury. "I didn't even know he was out until (the offense) came back on the field," Garza said. "He's a tough football player." Bears4Ever_34
I guess, if anything, LG is generally your least important position on the offensive line so I think we should still be able to manage for a couple weeks with Edwin Williams in there. But I would hope that Carimi can come back in say 2 weeks and step back in at RT so we can move Lance Louis back to RG and slide Chris Spencer over to LG.
