selection7
Only a thousand pounds? That's barely enough to get a buzz. Give him a slap on the wrist. Rashaan Salaam can be his 12-step sponser.

Rashaan Salaam can be his 12-step sponser. 1000 pounds? Supposedly, he was receiving and distributing 1000 pounds PER WEEK.

selection7
Oh. Nevermind, you're right, that's worth a sentence of 'time served' at the very least. You gotta be hard on these guys or they'll think they can get away with anything.
Bears4Ever_34
Supposedly they have some dirt on more than 10 NFL players that have bought said drugs from Sam Hurd. This is going to become a huge story throughout the week as they find more information about it.
GakMan23
Those players down in Dallas like partying with their cocaine, and suitecases of "stuff". Guess we should have figured. With all the players coming out of there with these problems maybe Jerry Jones should be looked at. I'm not saying, just saying...
lemonej
I read the complaint and the affidavit from beginning to end and this seems identical to what happened to Vick who allowed some of his posse too much access to his personal property and info.In the complaint he allegedly spoke of his intent and actually admitted that he needed a better supplier that could meet his demand. It also states that his acquaintence was released to basically set him up.What an idiot. They let Davis walk for this guy.Wow!
ChileBear
1000 pounds? Supposedly, he was receiving and distributing 1000 pounds PER WEEK. Damn! This kid will go away forever.
madlithuanian
My hope is that no integral bears gets taken down along with Hurd. I guess that's what we get by getting Cowboys... http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/footb...,0,461077.story
selection7
Just announced...Matt Damon is going to play Sam Hurd, the title role, in his next movie about the Chicago drug syndicate. Should be exciting.

Marion Barber was coked up last game. Cutler was on the wacky tobacky. That would explain a lot. But of course Julius Peppers is just high on life! balta1701-A
So...if this winds up even moderately affecting the Bears...failing to do due diligence before this signing ought to be a firing offense for the management.
madlithuanian
I honestly hadn't thought of that. Good point. So...if this winds up even moderately affecting the Bears...failing to do due diligence before this signing ought to be a firing offense for the management.
