balta1701-A
Without knowing the money, the Bears should at least be interested here. He's recovering from an injury, so the fact that the Bears already have someone who can be a placeholder at that position (webb) is actually a positive for the team, because they have a warm body to put there, even if people are unhappy with him, while McNeil tries to recover. Bears4Ever_34
He had a serious neck injury, and you kind of sorta need to have a good neck to be able to play football. That's the only thing that worries me with him, and I'm sure that's why the Chargers released him to begin with.
Ed Hochuli 3:16
The Chargers are releasing him because of that injury and because they need salary cap space. If it checks out, I say they should bring him in, depending on the money.
madlithuanian
Agreed. Worth a look. Also, if the price is right...I'd take a gimpy McNeil over a healthy Omiyale any day. Good call, giving him time to get healthy with Webb in place. He is a beast when healthy.

lemonej
You never know what the San Diego GM's motives are but releasing McNeal while he may not be 100% could because a roster bonus due soon and to gear up and sign V Jack.
