He was just on Sirius radio and said he wants more than Jahri Evans' $56 million. He also said he hasn't talked to the Saints about a new deal.

 

Sorry, but $60 million for a guard is too much.

I would be surprised if he doesn't get franchised. Nicks is more important to them than Colston is but they may end up using it on Drew Brees if they can't get a deal done. If he's out on the open market, you pay a hefty price but if someone wants to give him 60 mil, more power too them. I wouldn't.

With the way the salaries are progressing in the NFL, I don't think that's too much for the guy who is clearly the best OG in the NFL. It's not like he's just average. He's the best. He is rock-solid in pass protection and mauls defenders on running plays. He makes any offense immediately better in just about every possible way.
