Stinger226
Per PFT. 2 years $15 million. there are going to be several choices fall by the wayside and I really didnt think we would chase him anyways.

Pixote
I am not sure TE is high priority for the Bears. Personally, I think Davis could be a diamond in the rough, never really given an opportunity to develop due to the OC not wanting to utilize TEs the past 2 years. The notion that the Bears need to invest money in a pass-catching TE is false because Davis is an unknown with great potential at this point. Whereas others have shown they are not up to par while actually playing on the field (e.g. OL & WR), Davis has never really been given a chance to show his full arsenal of talent. Only glimpses. Spending money or a draft pick on a TE would be a mistake when so many other positions have much more glaring problems.

madlithuanian
Same here. There's a difference in "it'd be nice to have a Finley" vs "we really need a Bowe or V-Jack"! Agreed 100%. I am fine with what we had last year. Peace
adam
Pretty interesting not to see Finley in the top 10 for yards or receptions for Tight Ends.
Pixote
He should be in the top 10 for drops, LOL. I saw him drop quite a few during the season.
Bears4Ever_34
This is a make or break year for Kellen Davis though. He's had some built in excuses up until now. Being a young player playing behind Greg Olsen and Dez Clark for a couple seasons, then got buried in Martz's playbook, which is notoriously known for ignoring the TE in the passing game. If he doesn't have a good season, this time next year we should be looking for a new TE.

They passed up on Hernandez and Gronkowski a few drafts ago, and they dealt Olsen. Now, it's Davis' time to shine. If not, they should be looking for one.
