Meriweather cost us roughly 3.5 million to give up the deep ball and get us penalized. Hell, that's back-up QB money. I'll believe it when I see it, but I find it hard to fathom that Lovie will just kick Wright to the curb with a Landry signing. It seems un-Lovielike to take a former 3rd rounder and stick him on ST. The safety position is close to becoming as jinxed as the QB position. Granted, we have about 50 years yet to go before it gets that bad, but it's bad. Conte seemed invisible this season. He didn't give up any big plays but he didn't many. He was one helluva an upgrade over Meriweather. We've invested too deeply in this position already to invest heavily. Resign Craig Steltz, sign a guy . . . this just made me realize I need to start a separate "Sign Atogwe" post. The "sign Atogwe" is a tradition around these parts.
