Kendall Wright getting 3rd round grades

Fat, weak, and lazy? No way he goes 19.

Even more worrisome than his lack of strength was his 16 percent body fat, one of the highest percentages for a receiver in the past decade and indicative of a lack of discipline.

He registered a mere four reps, which would have stood as the worst of the Combine, three fewer than Virginia CB Chase Minnifield.

4 reps for a pro athlete weighing almost 200 lbs?

All these guys gaining bad weight before the combine is not a good sign. I'd still take a chance on him in the 2nd or 3rd round though. He's that good of a play maker.

What gets me is all these scouts watch tape of the whole year, and rate these guys and then The Combine, and some off season whoas and the players arent any good any more. He would be a great 2nd round pick. Like you said he is a play maker.

4.6+ forty at the combine, no bench press there and then he runs faster at his team's pro day but only 4 reps in the bench press. Add in the body fat % and it all fits. The person who most believe the hype on Wright was Wright himself.

In Wright's defense though he had been battling injuries and other various ailments from his season that caused him to miss the senior bowl. It is very possible and probable that alot of that carried over to his lack luster combine times. I could care less about the bench press. It doesn't really mean anything. Steve Smith couldn't even bench press 225 when he came out and he had a nice career. The body fat % to me is what I raise an eyebrow to. You can't gain weight unless your going all body builder and using that weight to go on a cut in a diet phase. Not sure that's his plan, which makes it a concern. Some team is going to be lucky to have him in the 2nd round because his play definitely warrants a 1st rounder.
