How 'bout???

I know it's a bit off the wall but what if??? Saw today that Mike Wallace does not intend to sign his tender with Pittsburgh. How about a trade with Forte? The Steelers need an RB and the Bears need another "flashy" WR opposite Marshall and me thinks Wallace would fit the bill. Just sayin.

UUUUUUUmmmmm no!!!! The reason why Wallace is not signed with the Steelers yet is because hie is just like Forte right now.....wanting a big paying contract. So if we trade them we are in the same boat with Wallace after this year.

He's going to be what, a $10 million a year WR, similar to VJax/Marshall right? That's at least $3 million more knocked off whatever cap room the Bears have left this year, with Forte close to $7 m at the franchise tag.

So, if I remember correctly, B Marshall will be getting less per year than Wallace wants after one "break out" season.

I think I would pass, if we are going to spend that kind of money I want someone more proven and and at a position of greater need.

Yep, we could use one more kick butt receiver, just do not need a 10 million dollar man that may make NFL Networks top 10 1 year wonders.

I prefer the balance we have on offense with Marshall and Forte versus Marshal and Wallace. I think that makes it harder to defend us.

We will be harder to defend with another big WR like Floyd, Hill or Quick. Look at what Fitzgerald from the Cards wants.....he wants them to pick Floyd to take some of the double teams off of him.So If we have Floyd, Marshall and Forte, how are teams going to defend us if we have a three WR set with Davis at TE, Bennett/Hester in the slot and Floyd and Marshall on the outside and Fotre out of the backfield. If you double either of the two outside guys, you leave the slot and TE to be guarded by a slower LB and that also leave Forte out in the flats open..

Yes I agree (as long as Cutler has time to throw), but the proposal was to trade Forte for Wallace.

I read that he supposedly is looking for larry fitzgerald money. which is a big reason no one went after him for only a first rounder when the steelers were close to the cap
