Stinger226
Start with the Oline, Carmi remains an injury problem, Webb doesnt take a step forward. Forte holds out until the season starts and starts slow. Cutler, because of the Oline, doesnt get time to take advantage of the WRs he was given. Marshall ends up being suspended for 4 games. We still dont have a pass rush. The DBs suffer because of no pass rush. Urlacher has nagging injuries that keeps him out of games. With all negitive things (and all wont occure) we finish 7-9, 8-8 and Lovie keeps his job for one more year.
Ed Hochuli 3:16
Start with the Oline, Carmi remains an injury problem, Webb doesnt take a step forward. That wouldn't surprise anyone. Forte holds out until the season starts and starts slow. Possible. Cutler, because of the Oline, doesnt get time to take advantage of the WRs he was given. I doubt it. He'll have many more 3 step drops and roll-outs. Marshall ends up being suspended for 4 games. LOL. Where did you come up with this one? We still dont have a pass rush. McClellin has to have 6-8 sacks, Peppers has to be Peppers, and Paea has to take a major step. Otherwise, you might be right. The DBs suffer because of no pass rush. Exactly. In a cover 2, the DB's depend on the pass rush. Urlacher has nagging injuries that keeps him out of games. Possible, but this is something that is entirely unpredictable. With all negitive things (and all wont occure) we finish 7-9, 8-8 and Lovie keeps his job for one more year. If the Bears don't make the playoffs this year, Lovie is gone. Bank on it. I expect item 1 to happen no matter what but we did well in hedging our bets so I don't think the drop off will be as bad as expected. Plus the improved WR corps will do much to mitigate any reduction in Forte's productivity and may actually help it. Item 3 Marshall being suspended was just debunked today and will be official by the end of the week. Item 4 ....Melton has had a full year to settle into his new weight and now a full offseason to work on his technique. Paea is now more than year removed from knee surgery. Both will be improved and SMC is better than any DE we had opposite of Peppers in terms of rushing the passer. Greater concern for me is the lack of depth behind those guys.
