Ed Hochuli 3:16
Today on ESPN, Jaws continued his QB countdown. He had Cutler as the 8th best QB, in front of Vick, Stafford, Ryan, Flacco, Newton and Romo, and behind Rodgers, Rivers, Manning, E.Manning, Brady, Roethlisberger, and Brees. Sounds about right to me...but I still think E.Manning is rated to high.
Ed Hochuli 3:16
Sounds about right to me...but I still think E.Manning is rated to high. He has more Super Bowls than his brother, Rodgers, Rivers, Vick, Cutler, Newton, etc. I don't think he is.
rockren
He has more Super Bowls than his brother, Rodgers, Rivers, Vick, Cutler, Newton, etc. I don't think he is. Agreed. Eli has also put up numbers to boot as he threw for like 5000 yards last year. Regardless of being in a great position to succeed...he's succeeded in a big way. AZ54
After winning 2 SB I think Eli is a top 5 QB, and he beat the "best" in both of them. I think Cutler is a top 10 QB. I can't think of anyone behind him who did more with less talent then he did last year.
adam
That seems spot on for Jay. Eli is always an interesting topic. He had some below average years to start his career which really locked people into a certain opinion about him, at the same time, his brother was tearing up the league. However, over the last four years he has won 2x Super Bowls and thrown for over 100 TDs and 16,000 yards. Over 25 TD's and 4,000 yards a year is pretty impressive. Here are the career QB ratings for the listed QB's (Eli is 13th): Rodgers - 104.1 Romo - 96.9 Brady - 96.4 Rivers - 95.5 Manning - 94.9 Brees - 94.0 Big Ben - 92.1 Ryan - 88.4 Flacco - 86 Stafford - 84.7 Cutler - 84.5 Newton 84.5 Manning - 82.1 Vick - 80.
