Wesson44
http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/category/rumor-mill/ The Bears announced they had agreed to terms with former third-round pick Lorenzo Booker, who has been with the Dolphins and Vikings. To make room for Booker on the roster, they released running back Alvester Alexander, an undrafted rookie free agent out of Wyoming. We just paid Forte, we signed Bush, and bell signed his RFA tender....so why do we need Booker in camp? madlithuanian
Some more info.... http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2012/...lorenzo-booker/ I just get the vibe we didn't like Alexander, just another warm body at a bargain basement rate... http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/category/rumor-mill/ The Bears announced they had agreed to terms with former third-round pick Lorenzo Booker, who has been with the Dolphins and Vikings. To make room for Booker on the roster, they released running back Alvester Alexander, an undrafted rookie free agent out of Wyoming. We just paid Forte, we signed Bush, and bell signed his RFA tender....so why do we need Booker in camp? Alaskan Grizzly
I agree with Mad Lith...that Booker isn't more than an EXPERIENCED warm body at a low price. It does appear that Toub must be asking for more options in the ST realm though what with this addition and the adds of Weems and Thomas. Appears they are wanting some guys to try out for Knox' position and who knows, maybe Hester's?
Ed Hochuli 3:16
Hopefully they never need him because that would mean Weems, Hester and Bennett got hurt, but Booker has something like 37 KR's in his career for 830+ yards. That's not terrible.

AZ54
Nothing strange about bringing in bargain basement competition for the 3rd RB slot unless you are willing to accept (without competition) all the fumbles Bell had last year. flea
Zero TD's in his career? Another return guy which the team seems to have a hard-on for this offseason.
