AZ54 Posted September 1, 2012 Report Share Posted September 1, 2012 McCown should still be available in FA if needed midseason. He worked with the team all summer and through camp so he knows the system. From here on out he wasn't going to get practice reps so it seems like a reasonable gamble. Some of this was forced by the need to keep two punters, at least for a couple weeks and the decision to keep Price around and give him some time to get in shape.
