balta1701-A
Will anyone on offense step up? Will Tony Romo live to see Tuesday or is the defensive line a little hungry? These are the questions...
jason
This game worries me. I don't think the Bears come out with a victory. Demarcus Ware is going to give the OL fits, and unless he's doubled the entire game, I expect him to get 2-3 sacks and a couple other pressures. And throw in an anticipation False Start by an OT while we're at it.
madlithuanian
Agreed. This is a game we historically will lose. Big game. At night. Against a good opponent. Against a high pressure D. On the road. A win here would be a surprise to me given recent history. This game worries me. I don't think the Bears come out with a victory. adam
I am just surprised at how bad Dallas' offense has been. League low in scoring. It will just depend on which teams show up. We each had one good game, one bad game, and one mediocre game. It will be interesting to see which team finds their groove. To me that will decide the game. Even if both teams return to form, I believe the Bears have the edge.
Bears4Ever_34
I'm going to pick with my head here in this one and try to avoid picking with my heart. I do not like how the offense has played out here in the first three games, especially in the last two. Dallas has the league's best defense and two of the best corners you're ever going to find on one team. I don't like how it shapes up for the offense and Jay Cutler. I have a feeling there's going to be plenty of 3 and outs on Monday, and if our defense holds up it'll be a pretty low scoring game. Dallas is wildly inconsistent like us, so you never know which team you're going to get on offense. Romo could throw 4 picks or he could throw 4 TD's. I think he's going to play much better at home, but our defense is on a hot streak right now. We won't let them score easy. Unfortunately, I think Jay Cutler has another lousy performance on the road and a couple of turnovers to boot. I don't believe it will be a full fledged implosion like it was against GB, but I don't like the Bears chances at moving the ball in this matchup. I'm hoping I'm wrong about this, I've got to see Cutler prove it to me first, before I can really believe in this team. I want to see an inspired performance on Monday. I'll go Cowboys 15-6. adam
Some interesting numbers: 16-1: Bears record when they lead after the first quarter since 2010. 7-2: Lovie Smith’s record on Monday Night Football with the Bears, averaging 26.4 points per game. Whoever comes out with the win will be 3-1 and sitting in a nice position at the quarter point of the season. For the Bears, they could then have a great shot at going 4-1 into the Bye after playing JAX next week.
DABEARSDABOMB
This will be a tough game. Lets step up and get a W!!! Protect the QB, run the football, limit the turnovers, attack their QB.
Bears4Ever_34
Jay Cutler has to play great tonight. No excuses for him. He needs to come out and play the way he's capable of playing and not let the pressure get to him. I want to see him play smart; convert 3rd downs, complete a high percentage of his passes, and most importantly, no turnovers. If he does that, the Bears will win. Bears4Ever_34
Cutler needs to use Marshall and Jeffery's uncanny ability to run after the catch as a means for not having to throw the ball down field every play. It's okay to dump it down to your RB for a 5 yard gain every now and then. If that's all the defense is allowing you to do, keep going to it. Eventually, a big play will develop, and when you have the run game going, that also makes it a lot tougher for the defense to get blitz happy. Bears4Ever_34
What do ya know? Bears give up major yardage to end the half again.. Pathetic way to end the half. The Bears always seem to do this. Just pisses me off.

Bears4Ever_34
Had the perfect opportunity to set the tone for the 2nd half with a nice stop before going into the locker room, but we can't stop a team's 2 minute offense. 10-7. Lucky pick 6 off a miss communication by the QB/WR. Offense not scoring but not turning the ball over, and sustaining drives. Not terrible, but not good enough. You can't finish a game without scoring a touchdown on offense. Bears need their "O" to get them some points in the 2nd half. Defense was doing fine until the final drive. Bears4Ever_34
Hester caught that right?? Looked like the ball didn't move. The Bears offense NEEDS this TD!
Bears4Ever_34
Wow! Cutler doesn't get rid of the ball and winds up fumbling, and a play later Briggs intercepts a Romo pass, thanks to Henry Melton's pressure! Unreal.

BearFan2000
The announcers correct, Jay needs to have that clock in his head, when that play broke down he either needed to just eat it, take the sack and live to fight another down, or throw the ball away and come back on the next down. He has shown a tendency to hold onto the ball.
Bears4Ever_34
What a terrible reversal on the Marshall PI. He was clearly held before the ball was tipped. freakin bull shit.

adam
Great game by the Bears. Besides for the last drive of the first half by Dallas, our Defense was on fire. Can't complain about Cutler and the O-Line today, Cutler with no picks and a 140.1 Passer Rating. Cutler silences critics for one week. Urlacher still not at 100%. Hopefully he will be there after the Bye. 3-1 after 4, I will take it.

Bears4Ever_34
Jay played great, with the exception of that one dumb turnover. He almost did everything I said he had to do, coming into the game. He completed 75% of his passes, he went with the short passing game and for the most part, the ball was out of his hand quickly, and he converted 7/12 3rd downs.. Still has to do a better job at protecting the football. His throws were great aside from his first pass of the game. He just can't hold the ball that long on the sack, fumble, by Ware. jason
Great game overall. Maybe the best game the OL has played in 5 years. Cutler looked great. The play-calling was nearly perfect. But now that the celebration period is over, I don't want to let this game get us too happy. -The Cowboys missed three bombs (two overthrows, one drop) that were wide open. A good QB, like Manning in the SB, doesn't miss those passes. -The Bears were very fortunate with the turnovers. Aside from the Melton pressure and the Moore INT, the others were more a matter of the Cowboys making mistakes than the Bears forcing mistakes. -Romo went 31 for 43, for 301 yards against the Bears defense. The pass defense was soft, and displayed perfectly why many hate the Lovie-2. He was picking and choosing his targets at will. And don't even get me started on that pussified approach they took to end the first half. I'm really happy with how the game turned out, and I enjoyed watching the beatdown, but I feel like this is a setup game. The same game played against the Packers is a loss, because Rodgers completes one or two of those bombs, and they probably convert on the drive that ended with Ogletree straigt-up gifting an INT to the Bears in the Red Zone. I can't find any stats to prove this, but a 16 point lead is not that much against a team that gives you five interceptions. I'd expect a five interception game to result in a bigger disparity. This game should have been much more worse. Tread carefully...
